Yes, because after a new generation arrives we burn all information of the previous. They will have no way of knowing about Looney Toons or classic game franchises.

[–]Animal89 23 points24 points ago

quick burn all the evidence

[–]VideoScourge 4 points5 points ago

They certainly wont see Tom rolling a cigarette with Jerry inside of it. Might as well just burn it all then.

[–]THEsolid85 99 points100 points ago

I went to 9gag a couple times. half the posts had this exact same title. therefore, I must implore you to shut the fuck up.

[–][deleted] 27 points28 points ago

another popular title would be 'Soooo truee!!!'

[–]Pizza_Shrapnel 15 points16 points ago

Lik dis if u cry evrytim

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points ago

i crying

[–]GreatGroovyGood 1 point2 points ago

Fixed.

[–]HtotheGRIFF 1 point2 points ago

How is babby formed.

[–]flytaggart1 1 point2 points ago

Damn those potarts!

[–]Hyleal 270 points271 points ago

Rather conceited to think entertainment doesn't make it into the future. How old are you? 14? 20? Maybe in your 30's or 40's? Wile E. Coyote has been around since fucking 1948. That's 64 years. A new sonic game came out this year. 21 years after the first one. Kids will know exactly what this is, even if you don't tell them and you will. The funny part is that they will assume that you are the clueless one who has never experience the awesome of this cartoon and video game.

[–]kal0029 15 points16 points ago

My dad always told me he watched the same cartoons when I was a kid, I never believed him that they were around when he was a kid for some reason.

[–]ninereeds314 12 points13 points ago

If you think 1948 is a long time ago, Mickey Mouse first appeared in 1928.

Not a well known character, but here's some animation from 1912 (youtube)

[–]f0rdf13st4 26 points27 points ago

What? youtube existed allready in 1912?

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points ago

[–]ninereeds314 2 points3 points ago

Actually, come to think about it, I may have been wrong about that bit.

[–]JayTS 4 points5 points ago

Shit, Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies were around before my grandmother was born, and I watched them all the time as a kid.

[–]Stevo182 7 points8 points ago

Came here to say this. There's a new Looney Tunes cartoon airing on CN right now that's pretty ballingly hilarious, and new Sonic games come out every year.

[–]Michael_J_Fucks 2 points3 points ago

aren't these dolan characters or something?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

[–]phrank12 2 points3 points ago

What if I told you the title of this post wasn't an accurate representation of the OP's feelings but just a regurgitation of a common popular title to harvest upvotes...

[–]Ormild 1 point2 points ago

True that. My niece is 3 years old now and LOVES Scooby-Doo. Every time I ask her what she wants to watch on TV, it's either Dora or Scooby-Doo. I was watching it when I was a little kid and it makes me feel awesome that my niece is sharing a part of my childhood.

[–]Tunis1jp 1 point2 points ago

You echo my sentiments. I have a 6 year old that is obsessed with sonic and loony toons is currently still on the air on cartoon network. I'll watch him experience something and think, I remember doing that for the first time. People need to stop trying make their childhood this unique, nostalgic, and special thing that no one else could possible experience. You're not a special snow flake.

[–]richandwhite 2 points3 points ago

My niece is 7 next month, we saw a bunny in the backyard the other day and she was trying to catch. So I ask her, "What would you name the bunny if you caught it?" "I don't know" she replied. I suggested "How about Bugs Bunny?" She immediately came back with "EWWWW, why would you name a bunny BUGS, that's gross!"

This girl watches cartoons day and night, yet she was completely unfamiliar with any of the Looney Tunes. That's not to say they won't make a comeback, as everything is this world is cyclical, but it isn't looking good now.

[–]iaba111 6 points7 points ago

Cartoon Network still shows Looney Toons. Not the one you're used to, it's "updated". Tune in at 1:00.

[–]baconbum 6 points7 points ago

Teletoon Retro shows the original Looney Toons. I still watch it, and find myself laughing hysterically. Especially if you catch one with some WWII-era racism. Those are the best ones.

[–]richandwhite 2 points3 points ago

Yeah, so after figuring out my niece didn't know the looney tunes, I rented a set from the library. I put in the DVD, left the room and came back to this. Apparently the set I grabbed was the 1930s-1940s collection.

[–]baconbum 1 point2 points ago

This one caught me off guard (wait til the very end for it)

[–]Respondir 4 points5 points ago

I'm surprised. Recently they made a show on Cartoonnetwork called ["The Looney Tunes Show"](en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Looney_Tunes_Show), based on the original Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote are CGI now, which is ahh.. different, but the show is funny.

[–]kickassdonkey 448 points449 points ago

No, no they wont. You know why? Cause they'll have their own memories to form. Just cause we all grew up with Mario and Metroid doesnt mean that's what we have to shove down our kids throats as well. Why cant we just let them discover stuff the way we did and create those memories themselves?

[–]WindSandStars 221 points222 points ago

KIDS DON'T GET MY SKYRIM JOKE

I WEEP FOR HUMANITY

[–]Smile_Y 50 points51 points ago

What, you don't like what I liked in my childhood?? Your generation is stupid!

[–]Ceiling_Man 42 points43 points ago

"im 12 sry my genrtion is stupd u guys, can i hng out wit u now?"

[–]Smile_Y 17 points18 points ago

[–]muffinmonk 1 point2 points ago

This is the perfect reaction gif to those damned kids.

[–]magnetman2 16 points17 points ago

"im 11 but i like queen not this stupid techno bullshit like my friends, upvote if you agree"

[–]yep45 7 points8 points ago

FORCED MY KID TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH POKEMON RED

FAITH IN HUMANITY = RESTORED

[–]GoldLegends 80 points81 points ago

Yea this, this kinda thing gets kinda annoying. Acting like kids in this generations dont have any childhood or something.

[–]hinduguru 46 points47 points ago

I remember when I used to be the victim of this as a child. Why do people grow into the annoying assholes we detested as kids?

[–]PancakeMonkeypants 17 points18 points ago

YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND HE-MAN.

[–]PiscesFTW 9 points10 points ago

I'm a kid and I know exactly what this is...? Where did I go wrong?

[–]BlazingFox 11 points12 points ago

Quick, what is a telephone booth?

[–]sbsb27 12 points13 points ago

What is a telephone?

[–]PiscesFTW 11 points12 points ago

Its that thing on the side of roads with the payphone-esque thing in that sometimes Superman enters for swift changing! Like the TARDIS in Doctor Who!

EDIT: Narmotur I hate you

[–]Narmotur 17 points18 points ago

that sometimes Superman comes in!

I hope he cleans up after himself.

[–]Grass_Is_Purpler 5 points6 points ago

he's superMAN, cleaning up is for superWOMAN

[–]missachlys 1 point2 points ago

Actually...the TARDIS is a police box.

[–]PiscesFTW 1 point2 points ago

A police box is a telephone booth for emergency services?

[–]missachlys 1 point2 points ago

No. The police box is actually more of a mini police station. Yes, there was a phone on the outside, but it was primarily for policemen in order to cut down on travelling time.

It's a police box.

Now if you're talking Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure: that's a telephone booth.

[–]PiscesFTW 1 point2 points ago

...To be fair, I'm not British.

[–]missachlys 1 point2 points ago

Fair enough.

[–]BisforBM 13 points14 points ago

Shut up and laugh at this woodcut of Benjamin Franklin!

[–]PaulMcGannsShoes 12 points13 points ago

Look at his jaunty hat! LOOK AT IT!

Augh, ya fuckin kids!

[–]Hate_Manifestation 10 points11 points ago

Yeah. I see a lot of posts on here with screen caps from kids shows that are like "THIS EPISODE AIRED (5,10,15) YEARS AGO. UGH. I AM A WORLD-WEARY OLD SOUL." and all I can think is "Yeah, I remember when that show started airing... it was fucking dumb as hell, and not nearly as good as (insert kids show from my generation)." I was also an adult 15 years ago. Total Recall remains one of my favourite movies to this day, but most people that I talk to these days, who are just 5 years younger than I am, have never seen it. Some have no idea what I'm talking about.

Honestly, I got confused yesterday when the barista at Starbucks didn't know who Mr. T was.. all I had to do was think for about one second and I was like "never mind". If I had been born 5 years earlier, I would have thought Mr. T was ridiculous. If I had been born 5 years later, I likely wouldn't have been exposed to him at all.

Pop culture is a fluid entity, and your kids will be part of theirs as much as(or more than) you were a part of yours.

[–]ftang777 2 points3 points ago

But dude... It's Mr. T...

[–]Blamemeta 5 points6 points ago

I PITY THE FOO WHO DON KNOW ME!!!

[–]palparepa 3 points4 points ago

This reminds me... before the Chuck Norris Facts, there was Mr. T vs. Everything.

[–]GreyInkling 7 points8 points ago

Not to mention the new loony tunes cartoon and reruns of the old will be around for them along with whatever new crappy sonic game they're trying to make to please the fans. What would give OP the idea that they wouldn't get this?

[–]Stevo182 7 points8 points ago

The funny thing is that you're both actually kind of wrong. While I agree with you partially, it's important to realize that Looney Tunes and Sonic are actually still being produced heavily today(the new Looney Tunes cartoons are pretty freaking sweet if you haven't watched them yet). Sonic the Hedgehog is also a thriving franchise for the younger generations. Both of these products will be made and consumed for years to come. So kids in a few years will probably get this joke, especially if they have parents who get it.

[–]Red_AtNight 2 points3 points ago

It's true. After Mel Blanc died, Billy West (probably best known for being Fry, The Professor, and Zoidberg) took up the mantle. Hell there's another full-length Looney Toons movie coming out. This is a property that people have loved since the 1950s and it is never going away.

[–]kickassdonkey 1 point2 points ago

I'm perfectly ok with that. To this generation, if bumblebee is a chevy camaro and not a beetle, I think that's a-ok. I just don't think its right that we should all weep for the future if kids cant name all 151 pokemon the way kids from our generation did.

[–]kevka 14 points15 points ago

Yeah, it's not like anyone here gives a shit about the silent cartoons of the 1910s. Back in the day I bet a lot of kids loved that shit.

[–]DeBurgo 5 points6 points ago

thank fucking christ somebody said it. It's creepy when parents of 5 year olds make these elaborate efforts to indoctrinate their kid into playing 8-bit videogames by doing things like buying them a huge collection of retro games or something. Making your kids like real old stuff is like a sure-fire way to make sure your kid will grow up to be a weirdo (not that there's anything wrong with that, but kids should at least have the freedom to grow up to be weirdos under their own accord).

[–]Deddan 2 points3 points ago

Also, they probably will get it too. Road Runner cartoons have been around a lot longer than I have, and I can't see Sonic dying out in "few few years".

[–]BobIV 2 points3 points ago

Because their stuff is crap! Why back in my day...

[–]TimesWasting 1 point2 points ago

THANK YOU. The 90's Nostalgia circlejerk is getting annoying. Every decade has their good and bad things. The stuff you grew up with isn't automatically "the best."

[–]reddixmadix 0 points1 point ago

I think he refers to the transaction being done by using money!

[–]welfaretrain 0 points1 point ago

Thank you very much.

[–]WhyHellYeah 0 points1 point ago

Besides, Geico just picked up the cartoon for its ads.

[–]Moath[!] 0 points1 point ago

I agree with you, a lot of people are becoming like their parents when they tried to force their hobbies and tastes down their kids' throats.

[–]doyouunderstandlife 27 points28 points ago

Yes they will. Looney Toons still airs and they have new incarnations. SEGA will milk their cash cow until the company goes under (and even then, it'll likely sell the rights). I hate these posts "MY CHILDHOOD WAS BETTER THAN YOURS". No it wasn't, you just have nostalgia (also, some cartoons/kids' shows that air today are pretty amazing, too).

[–]GreyInkling 5 points6 points ago

Adventure time, Phineus and Pherb, Avatar... All three are better than most of what I considered the best from my own generation.

[–]doyouunderstandlife 5 points6 points ago

Both Avatar shows are amazing and so's Adventure Time. I never really loved Phineus and Pherb (mainly because of the character designs), but I understand the appeal. There's also the new Thundercats cartoon (which blows the old one out of the water), The Marvelous Misadventure of Flapjack (God, I miss that show), Chowder, Regular Show, Green Lantern, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, etc. These are all quality shows that I wish I had growing up.

[–]PoniesRBitchin 4 points5 points ago

I'm surprised this is so far down. Loony Tunes just started a new show in 2011 that still airs today, and classic Loony Tunes still air depending on the time and channel you're watching. Meanwhile, Sonic Generations just came out in what, Christmas?

[–]doyouunderstandlife 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, and Sonic is still popular with little kids, despite the fact that Sonic hasn't had a good game (some have been adequate, but not great) in 10+ years.

[–]redditspice 11 points12 points ago

considering road runner and wild e coyote are over 60 years old... i imagine they'll be around as long as warner brothers are making money of their intellectual property... same thing goes with sonic being 20 years old, and sega/nintendo making cash off that for as long as possible...
your fake outrage over lost nostalgia is self righteous and short sighted

[–]Flashfight 11 points12 points ago

Only us cool as fuck 90's kids will get this, anyone else shouldn't even be on reddit because they wont get my obscure 90's references.

Also, omfg I feel so old at 20 years old hurr.

[–]RhythmZ 119 points120 points ago

Please keep this shit on Facebook and 9gag...

[–]DessertPizza 1 point2 points ago

I was actually hoping to see the similar image bot on this post. No luck...

[–]Matt08642 5 points6 points ago

>acting like LE REDDIT is any better than those sites

LEL!

[–]vadergeek 4 points5 points ago

Although, to be fair, if we all had rigorous standards then it probably would be.

[–]Bagbobilbins 9 points10 points ago

I like the picture, but your caption is rather dumb.

[–]theofficialposter 5 points6 points ago

Not to nit-pick, but shouldn't sonic be looking at the money to better identify the terms of the transaction? Right now it is difficult to tell who is giving who the money without the understanding of the context. Also, when I said not to nit-pick, I didn't mean it.

[–]Narmotur 8 points9 points ago

Also, what would Sonic even do with that cash? Shouldn't he be getting paid in rings? Does ACME even make gold rings?

[–]WhyGuy21 4 points5 points ago

This post is no different from those "Only 90s kids will get this..." posts on Tumblr or Faebook. How old are you OP, 13?

[–]AreWhyAyeEhn 6 points7 points ago

Yeah seriously, no one uses cash anymore, everything will be done with credit/debit cards in a few years

[–]Girolmao 13 points14 points ago

Why's that cat blue?

[–]TheLastBadger 4 points5 points ago

Well, I made the cat blue because I've never seen a blue cat before, and, to be honest with you, I wanted to see a blue cat.

[–]lindn 2 points3 points ago

Because they haven't watched it and hopefully you don't buy any new sonic games for them.

Are you really expecting them to know stuff from your childhood?

[–]pjgamer77 2 points3 points ago

Looney-Toons was popular when my Grandma was a teen (she is 83). I'm 17 and watched/loved the looney-Toons as well, 60 years later. I doubt this will change. Kids will grow up with it, especially kids of the 90's generation since it is evident they loved looney toons as well. This is the same reason my children will know what "The Wizard of Oz" is, even though its a movie from 1939, when my Grandma was a kid. It has remained relevant because of parents/grandparents love/nostalgia for the movie.

[–]utsavman 2 points3 points ago

Oh no kids won't experience the childhood I experienced, You're acting like a grumpy old man.

[–]Watching_You_Type 2 points3 points ago

I don't get it now. Sonic the Hedgehog would never accept payment for anything that wasn't chilli dogs, rings or chaos emeralds.

[–]DarthHaste 2 points3 points ago

Actually- You are wrong. With the rate at which companies are rebooting old franchises due to the lack of creativity and new ideas, I am sure they will understand this for generations to come.

[–]TroopeRftw 2 points3 points ago

Like in 3 seconds if you're an 90's kid !

[–]Michael_J_Fucks 9 points10 points ago

[–]DessertPizza 1 point2 points ago

shit that looks enjoyable...am I gay now?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

What the fuck does that matter?

They have there own nostalgia.

[–]Michael_LaPorte 1 point2 points ago

Re post of me...

[–]bluetoyoutoo 1 point2 points ago

Kids in few few years will not even get this..

..really?

[–]josh024 1 point2 points ago

Did you ever use 8 track tapes? THIS GENERATION HAS GONE TO SHIT.

[–]Batrok 1 point2 points ago

Give me a break. Do you recognize Bugs Bunny? How about Betty Boop? Popeye? Mickey Mouse? The Grinch? Charlie Brown? All are from the 1960s or EARLIER. Yet somehow you know those characters.

Hollywood (and increasingly gaming too) are completly bereft of ideas. All of these characters will get recycled until long after we are all dead.

[–]expertunderachiever 1 point2 points ago

I'd like to point out a lot of kids in the 80s and 90s grew up watching cartoons from the fucking 50s and 60s. They're not even "our" cartoons.

[–]ehudros 1 point2 points ago

my god, what is this sentimental bullshit?

[–]harmthellama 1 point2 points ago

Well it wasn't funny in the first place.

[–]FirstTimeWang 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, our children will grow up in largely cashless society.

[–]singer9672 1 point2 points ago

Sonic the dealer, selling speed since the 90's

[–]MarioBGE 1 point2 points ago

At least he didn't put "problem solved" as the title... Like EVERY FUCKING TIME this gets posted.

[–]PaulMcGannsShoes 1 point2 points ago

What are you, 50? They still make Sonic games and RoadRunner cartoons, dumbass.

[–]MLP_magic 1 point2 points ago

Wow, of all the titles in the world, your retarded lazy 16 year old angsty ass came up with this? Fuck you.

[–]backintheussr1 1 point2 points ago

ONLY 90S KIDS WILL UNDERSTAND THIS~~~~~

[–]Zeppelanoid 1 point2 points ago

Those Roadrunner cartoons are from what, the 50s? I still seen 'em.

[–]BossTime 1 point2 points ago

So? They'll have something that is absolutely balls epic to them, which you will not be able to understand

[–]this_sort_of_thing 1 point2 points ago

ONLY 90s KIDS WOULD UNDERSTAND AMIRITE

As someone born in 1989, I'm qualified to say, let's kill all the 90s kids, or kill two 90s kids for every utterance of '90s kids' including when people are complaining about 90s kids such as myself...I feel the 90s kids will turn out worse than the boomers, otherwise.

[–]JerFlip 1 point2 points ago

lol we're so old right guys

right guys

[–]Tlingit_Raven 1 point2 points ago

Fuck. You.

[–]R_95 1 point2 points ago

and why should they...?

[–]MMediaG 1 point2 points ago

Can we ban the 5800+ people who upvoted this rubbish?

[–]Mikey8152 2 points3 points ago

Why isn't Wile E not giving Sonic a chili dog instead? It'd be cheaper, no?

[–]kcell 2 points3 points ago

I came here for chili dog reference. I was not disappoint.

[–]scruffy01 3 points4 points ago

Welp, 90s kids are now the parenting generation, so if they don't then it is our fault.

[–]archie_f 1 point2 points ago

I don't get this now. I'm old.

[–]Olukon 1 point2 points ago

OP, stop being a fag.

[–]Exceedingly 0 points1 point ago

The hedgehog is faster than the road runner, and the cyote is slower than them both?!

IMPOSSIBRU!

[–]reddell 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, because no kids today know that old road runner cartoon or who pacman is... right.

[–]thundercleese2012 0 points1 point ago

Hate to admit this but I had to think about it for a split second.

[–]maejesty 0 points1 point ago

This is kind of like those: "Like in 3 seconds if you remember these." Everything on Reddit is that way.

"And that way the man got the idea of combining Facebook and Reddit into; ReBook - FaceIt"

[–]JeanJeanJean 0 points1 point ago

I'm 12 and what is this?

[–]conley46 0 points1 point ago

yeah, guess we're just being that old?

[–]herseys 0 points1 point ago

I always rooted for the Wile E Coyote, I just felt bad for him, he just seemed so hungry and Road Runner was such a smart ass. Yeah, I think I'm going to end up as a mad scientist.

[–]JordanRodkey 0 points1 point ago

Ugh Sonic is still selling well and there are new Looney Toons airing right now. Also let them enjoy their childhood, not yours.

[–]Matt08642 0 points1 point ago

Oh yeah, because NOOOOBODY knows who those characters are, and it's not like they're still immensely popular

[–]themauwinator 0 points1 point ago

Why did they cancel that it ruined my life

[–]qwerqs3 0 points1 point ago

I'm 18 and I don't get it. GG

[–]bigmeech 0 points1 point ago

nah they will i reckon it will be reposted another 100 times over the next 10 years

[–]nepidae 0 points1 point ago

They will. "Kids these days" are not as culturally inept as you think.

[–]chucknoritz 0 points1 point ago

... and it won't matter then as it doesn't matter now.

[–]rangement 0 points1 point ago

I'm 25 and I don't get this. Am I the only one who didn't watch these cartoons?

[–]Mitz510 0 points1 point ago

Is the OP retarded?

There is a Looney Cartoon on Cartoon Network right now. It's not the same as the one from the 60's or whenever it came out but it's there with the original characters.

And they make Sonic games about every year or two and they are all the same by the way.

Even if they grew up without cable or an XBox you 80's/90's kids will eventually rub your nostalgic I don't want to grow up dick in their face.

[–]Roflkopt3r 0 points1 point ago

One of the dumbest post I've seen on the frontpage for quite a while. Any web dictionary that provides an article for 'Karmawhoring' or alike should feature this post.

[–]demalo 0 points1 point ago

I like this one better. http://i.imgur.com/enXjh.jpg

[–]PhilbertMcFilibuster 0 points1 point ago

Nobody will ever "get it" because there is no EFFING WAY sonic is faster than road runner.

[–]malYca 0 points1 point ago

My kid loves sonic above all else, she is 5.

[–]Zakoth 0 points1 point ago

My 13 year old brother gets it!

[–]DrascaL 0 points1 point ago

I don't care that people at some point in time will not understand the joke. I'm sure eventually some people will not get it, and that's fine. I don't expect people to know about entertainment from before their time.

I'm upvoting due to it being fun, not because of the stupid title.

[–]AkwardEgo 0 points1 point ago

My nephew is three and "beep beep" is one of his favorite cartoons. It still airs on Cartoon Network Monday through Friday.

[–]yotee 0 points1 point ago

Wile E. Coyote was my favorite; he is based on the old Native American trickster tales.

[–]synth22 0 points1 point ago

Sonic must be running at LEAST T1.

[–]Paultimate79 0 points1 point ago

Yeah unless they watch cartoons or play games at all.

Its like people that make these comics dont realize that 20 somethings HAVE played an Atari 2600 before and emulators are all over the place.

[–]Gerber87 0 points1 point ago

My son is 3. He loves sonic, ninja turtles, and even watches popeye and betty boop. We have Netflix.....

[–]actualsnow 0 points1 point ago

Good for him. Fuck that roadrunner.

[–]ara_p 0 points1 point ago

If they forget anything it'll be Sonic. Wile E. Coyote's been around since 1949. That sucker's got staying power.

[–]RevRound 0 points1 point ago

Instead of trying to feel superior because the things kids enjoy change and may not be what you enjoyed as a kid, lets start hating on time. Time is the real menace here, if only we could stop it then nothing would ever change! We could live in our nostalgia memories forever and hopefully the rose colored tint would never go away! We need to kill time so that our superior cultural experiences when we grew up will never go away!

TL;DR FUCK TIME!

[–]Moath[!] 0 points1 point ago

Yeah we all don't know who Tom and Jerry is and we've never watched any of the episodes although they were originally aired 70 years ago. Right guys?

[–]Tory_Rox 0 points1 point ago

I made the mistake of calling a DVD player VCR to a 6 year old yesterday. he had no idea what I was talking about.

[–]EnderofDragon 0 points1 point ago

No, they will recognize that blue hedgehog from all that weird porn they find on the internet.

[–]aforsberg 0 points1 point ago

My children will never know the connection between a hexagonal pencil and a tape cassette.

[–]azimir 0 points1 point ago

I awoke today to my 5 year old laughing his ass off to the road runner outfoxing the coyote again and again. Looney Tunes are some of his favorites right now.

After breakfast we went outside and played with his 6' arm catapult. Good times.

[–]ExodusRex 0 points1 point ago

What's that block of green shit that Wyle E. Coyote is giving Sonic? Is it weed?

[–]awe300 0 points1 point ago

Sonic would've been better of with a graceful death than the furry-fandom-corpsfucking he's gotten

[–]yomoneyisgreat 0 points1 point ago

kids will watch old cartoons b/c the new ones are shitty and they will realize that, i have faith

[–]cornking 0 points1 point ago

I don't know, I think with that new Looney Tunes reboot show and the constant release of new sonic games, we still have a good amount of years of remembrance ahead.

[–]TommyPaine 0 points1 point ago

Who cares?

[–]Background_nose 0 points1 point ago

stop being a prick.

[–]spermbasket 0 points1 point ago

surprised he isnt paying in rings

[–]Miss_construes 0 points1 point ago

I thought he was handing him a sponge.

[–]Johnny_Crab 0 points1 point ago

FUCK I'M OLD, RIGHT? REMEMBER CASSETTE TAPES

P.S. also pogs

[–]penguinrider 0 points1 point ago

Not if Time Warner Cable has anything to say about it.

[–]Brettersson 0 points1 point ago

Because looney tunes were brand new when you were a kid growing up with sonic, who is no longer around, right?

[–]KickAssCommie 0 points1 point ago

Road runner being my favourite cartoon I gotta say, Sonic wouldn't stand a chance! I don't care how fast he is!

[–]MrPeel11 0 points1 point ago

Sonic the hithog

[–]Talbotus 0 points1 point ago

I'm certain that looney tunes is not even our generation. It lasts trust me kids will get it.

[–]Lennzelbossington 0 points1 point ago

Kinda sad

[–]3book 0 points1 point ago

But I assure you they will get the "facebook faces" jokes...

[–]Zoccihedron 0 points1 point ago

Yes they will, assuming it keeps getting reposted.

[–]slashsigh 0 points1 point ago

Wait, why will they not get this? As if Warner Brothers will stop playing reruns of Looney Toons that have been playing for 60 years? It's a little short sighted to imagine such a thing. These cartoons are classic, and will likely be a part of most childhoods as long as we have visual media.

[–]NachoNinja777 0 points1 point ago

Right in the childhood!

[–]LittleBigKid2000 0 points1 point ago

I'm 11 and I get the joke.

[–]Llort2 0 points1 point ago

and the generation above us weeps that we don't know who Ub Iwerks is

[–]revrend_ 0 points1 point ago

The title doesn't make a lick of sense.

Also they have the Looney Toons show on CN right now, why wouldn't kids today(or in the future) get this?

[–]nuinbot 0 points1 point ago

From my recollection, the Roadrunner was much faster. Blink of an eye fast. I doubt Sonic could catch him.

[–]parkerjallen 0 points1 point ago

ONLY 90s kidz will get this!!! Share and like if u do!

[–]vadergeek 0 points1 point ago

Why not? Wil-E-Coyote is still around after all this time. Sonic games have gone downhill, but we still remember Q-Bert and Space Invaders.

[–]ethanwc 0 points1 point ago

...and it's not even funny so I don't think they'll be missing much.

[–]KingDingALing1 0 points1 point ago

Now I feel like watching this show again...

[–]clowncrusher 0 points1 point ago

OBJECTION 4kids is more prompt to run re runs then actually purchase rights to new material! Therefore they will be subject to the shit from 2005-2011

[–]bastardsnow 0 points1 point ago

kids now won't get that.

[–]Walnut156 0 points1 point ago

I was afraid of clicking hat think oh god what if I dont know what it is

[–]apextek 0 points1 point ago

sonic for android, road runner on blue ray. Yes yes they will.

[–]the_bigwiggle 0 points1 point ago

Really? The Roadrunner and Coyote have been appearing in cartoons since 1949. The latest was made in 2011. Sonic has been around for over 20 years with new games still being developed. In a few years, kids will still get it. I would venture to say that in 2050 kids will still get it.

[–]GrandGB 0 points1 point ago

My kid will be the only kid to no this!

[–]FartMagnet 0 points1 point ago

When I first read the title, before I actually clicked the link, the first thing that popped into my head was HPV

[–]very_short_username 0 points1 point ago

How in hell is this funny?

[–]mickey_kneecaps 0 points1 point ago

Why the hell not? Road Runner and Coyote is really freaking old, dude, people will still know it in fifty years. And sonic isn't exactly some super-secret 90's club either.

[–]protomd 0 points1 point ago

awesome. but who the fuck wouldn't get that?

[–]flamingbiskuet 0 points1 point ago

But redditors will always repost

[–]Hallo457 0 points1 point ago

That's fucking dumb, I'll bet Sonic, Wile E. Coyote, and Roadrunner were created before you were even born. Many generations have known about them, and more will too.

[–]frankledinkle 0 points1 point ago

If we introduce it to them and keep it alive they will! Stop letting your children watch all the shit that's on Disney Channel and stream them awesome old cartoons!

[–]Ninjasantaclause 0 points1 point ago

You are an idiot I am of this generation and I love the looneytunes and guess what I know who sonic is so get back inside your moms basement because you would Only be proud if being born at another time if you had nothing else to be proud of
