A lot of karmawhores use the same means of finding when and where to comment before a post gets a lot of recognition.

I put a little more time into my day job, so I am usually 2nd to accounts like Trapped_in_reddit, AndrewSmith1986, Cozmo23, webby_mc_webberson, etc..

Instead of trying to compete with people who have commented before me I'll usually just comment on their comment. The guys I mentioned usually have the best comments, so you'll often find me piggy packing off of them.

So to answer your question, No, I don't really follow them around intentionally, we just have the same formula and they usually comment first.

You don't sound like a moron. I enjoy reddit and I like to try to give back to the community whether it's through humorous or insightful comments. I don't really reddit on the weekends, it just gives me something to do at work when I want to procrastinate.

Maybe I'm a little bit of an attention whore too. There I said it.
