Might be the same guy (similar build) in a different venue doing it.

I've seen it before from youtube a couple times.

alternate title: kip-up to faceplant to handstand

[–]Diels_Alder 1 point2 points ago

Kip-up to faceplant was the first 3 practice runs. I think he avoids the faceplant here.

[–]TheDentite 2 points3 points ago

That's the best way to learn a handstand IMHO.

Just jump and flail into it. The fear helps for motivation

[–]TheDentite 0 points1 point ago

As does positioning yourself at a steep ledge.

[–]phraktureHandbalancing 4 points5 points ago

Also good for practicing inarticulate yelling and swearing. OH GAH FUCKASS SHIT

[–]TheDentite 1 point2 points ago

It's important to practice that.

[–]ErX29 2 points3 points ago

[–]TheMeaning0fLife 2 points3 points ago

That way his arms whip around and his body rotates seems unnaturally fast.

[–]MistahFinch 2 points3 points ago

Any ideas on how to even begin on the road to doing this?

[–]JohnnyMaudDibby 11 points12 points ago

Get off your computer.

[–]TheBranleur 0 points1 point ago

I want to learn this too, betting it'd take a considerable amount of time with handstands and presses.

[–]c0d3M0nk3yGymnastics 1 point2 points ago

this. this is not possible!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

i wonder how many times his face got smacked into the ground before he got that right?

[–]thebusfromspeedCalisthenics 0 points1 point ago

Very cool.

[–]fungz0r 0 points1 point ago

That is nuts, somebody should make attempt vids

[–]Kailoq 0 points1 point ago

I've gotten sore wrists from practising normal handstands too much. How the hell can you fit this into a routine without injuring your puny wrists? :(

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

strengthen your wrists...?!

[–]mrpopenfresh -1 points0 points ago

Man I could maybe do this with a front roll instead of flip, but that makes it a hundred times less interesting.

[–]whoyagonnacall -3 points-2 points ago

frontflip with your hands basically... how incredibly strong.... wow, think how hard it is to do a flip with your legs being your power
