"We NEED that to feed the Illithid that keep the world under mass delusion"

I think that picture was from the book "Don't check your brain at the door" or some shit like that. It was from a book, whatever the name was, about some stereotypes and how they're wrong blah blah blah. This particular picture was demonstrating the stereotype of what one needs to do when they first entered church followed by a chapter about how you don't need to stop thinking once you enter the church. That aside, you're a massive dick for saying that Christians don't think or use their brains all because of their belief system.

Absolutely right! Pointless bigotry and intolerance is what /r/atheism is all about bro!

Funny bc of the irony right? Since great thinkers like Thomas Aquinas, G.K. Chesterson, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R Tolkein, and many more are revered and taught by the church even today. And also despite the fact that many weren't even Catholic. Ignorance breeds ignorance, don't believe the stereotype that just because you believe in a higher power and adhere to an organized religion that you lose all intelligence. And as a Catholic, pro-gay marriage, democrat, pro seperation of church and state, etc, etc, I am insulted that my intelligence is lessened in your eyes bc of my religious affiliation instead of the fact that we can unite in our social agenda. So let's just continue to bash each other so nothing will get solved right? Sounds like a great plan...
