When our chocolate lab was about 6-8 months old, we were visiting relatives over christmas who have a bunch of dogs. We threw her out back with the rest of the dogs and didn't think twice about it, fed her a couple times but she was outside on a relatively chilly day playing for maybe 8 hours, maybe more.

When we took her inside we set her in the room we were sleeping in around 8 at night, and she didn't move an inch until 9 the next morning. Most tired dog I've ever seen., slept for 13 hours. I would almost feel bad if she hadn't loved being outside in the pack of dogs.
