There is an online poll. 49% feel that force was justified!
The cop was close enough to grab her, I don't think she had to be knocked down like that. Her head hit the wall, and the ground pretty hard.

Hey, I don't disagree that the cop went overboard, but if you read the background story, it will shed some light on why people voted that way. She had assaulted several people that day, is build like a linebacker, and needed to be subdued immediately.

I think the last time this was analyzed it was concluded that he was going to tackle her and partially tripped which ended up with said video that you see now and the outrage of everyone.

This was in Phoenix. She got in a fight with her mom I believe and she was leaving the scene when the cop pushed her into the wall. He was suspended.

I saw that too, I don't think he necessarily tripped but I think he may have been gaining momentum with the thought that she would run (its harder to run fast stop then run fast again, might as well keep running) I believe he was trying his best to stop but still it looks like he pushed her as well. I don't really know though.

Yesss, I have seen this video in somewhere while watching police brutality videos. I don't know how I got there but I did. She was drunk, skipped school, and beat up her mom. There are always 2 sides to stories.

Edit: God people, I'm not saying what she did deserved it only the fact that it's not just a police officer rtandomly smashing her head against a wall, there was a reason to do it. But yes, of course, that wasn't the right thing to do obviously.

Sorry, but nothing short of brandishing a deadly weapon would ever justify this sort of aggression from law enforcement. Obviously nobody watching this 3 seconds of video knows the whole story, but I just can't imagine a realistic scenario that would warrant that cop's violence against her.

It's all part of the way the police work. They use fear and intimidation to exceed the limits of power the law places on them.

Yup, all of them do this. I can't walk down the street without seeing a cop run up and slam a person to the ground in an attempt to cause bodily harm.

There's no possible way that there exists an incredibly small minority of police officers who are are truly bad people and shouldn't be in a position of authority in the first place and that if found to behave as this video 3 second video suggests should be immediately removed from that job.

This appears to be another case of somebody doing something to a woman/girl and people wigging out about it, but when it happens to a man, no big deal.

What about that one dude who tries to parkour over a cop car, messes up and gets tacked crazy hard to the ground (and you can see his head bouncing off of the pavement).

You do not know the context of this, but since it is a girl, you assume any violence towards a women is never justified

He did not, watch the video of the whole altercation, He had been out of his car for maybe 10 seconds before he started running, and it was a total of maybe 12 (estimates from watching it on mobile youtube) before he hit her. You're wrong. She was drunk and she was trying to get away, but she was not running or necessarily resisting arrest. He is a 6' some odd man who has been on the force for 6 and a half years. He knows how to handle a drunk 15 year old, That does not include slamming her head against a brick wall. please read you're stories before posting.
