A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports). "Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

"Generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission.

Me too. It looks pretty neat for a packed-in game collection.

Nintendo just didn't have enough time to cover all the ground we wanted them too. Hell, they are doing three separate conferences, not including the upcoming one that will be all about software.

I'm really stunned at how terrible Nintendo's presser was. I was excited when Iwata showed off the menu on Sunday. I didn't think there was any way they could stop me from wanting a Wii U. It's as if they watched how terrible the Sony and Microsoft conferences were and took it as a challenge.

I don't even understand the formatting of the conference. They repeatedly mentioned that, due to time, they were going to talk about only Wii U games and not the bullet point features or 3DS stuff. That's a fine strategy if you actually have content to show. But they don't. Pikmin looks fun. ZombiU looks ok. Everything else was either third party content I can get elsewhere (or that I've already finished) or phoned in casual entertainment.

When you're months away from a new hardware launch and you deliberately minimize your handheld system's presence and it still manages to be more interesting than your main console that's a sign you are in serious trouble.

Does anyone else feel that this E3 is a sign that we're staring down the barrel end of another crash? Or am I just being pessimistic?

I thought that the launch line up would be underwhelming, but this a new level of bad.

Edit: The Mario games will probably be good, but why do we have two identical Mario games and a bunch of established IPs? I was expecting IPs on the level of last of us and watch dogs but the closest thing to that would be ZOMBIU. In a hour long presentation.

Not meant as an insult here, but why did so many people think there would be an SSB4 announcement? I love SSB as much as the next guy, but was fairly certain we wouldn't be seeing any news concerning it this E3.

not an insult at all, its just us diehard SSB fans have been waiting for such news since brawl released, and its very disappointing watching Nintendo come out with such a lack luster conference.

Its kinda like when you hear the Ice cream truck coming, but its no where to be seen.

I got you. I love Brawl, played it 100+ hours. But as far as the conference goes I'd have to agree. My friend got my hopes up that Nintendo would do a big kapow at the end. Needless to say...they didn't. Hopefully we hear some news in the coming year.

They started work on SSB4 two months ago. Started. Do you know what that means? It means zero assets have been produced. They're probably still in a planning/concepts phase right now.

Amen. It really feels that the industry was the big loser this year, with the notable exceptions being Ubisoft, Naughty Dog and David Cage who are still fighting the good fight.
