The sales tax depends on the item, but it's up to 25 %. Food is generally 15 %, but items like electronice are 25 %.

Hmm, I don't know the numbers there, and the income tax depends on age and income. After some searching it seems like the norm is 28 %, but may be up to 50 %.

They serve different purposes, and believe me, you're being taxed a whole lot more than twice.

A sales tax allows a direct tax on consumption. In most US jurisdictions, that means that you can get food without paying taxes, and you pay quite a bit on luxury goods or certain undesired goods, like alcohol and cigarettes.

An income tax is the more reliable way to tax the rich more than the poor, who spend proportionally more of their income on goods are services. Property taxes are similar. Even if there's a flat property tax rate, the wealthy are more likely to have proportionally more in valuable assets.

The sneakiness is definitely part of it. People are more willing to accept, say, two different 20% taxes rather than a single 40% tax. I suppose it's similar to the way £9.99 tricks you into thinking it's closer to £9.00 than to £10.00

The Tax Man

Global passive: Generates 1g/10sec for teammates.

Q. Sales Tax (Passive): Enemy Champions pays the tax man (1%/2%/3%/4%/5%) on every item they purchase.

W. Transportation Tax: Cast whenever an enemy champion is recalling and their next purchase will net you gold in the amount of 10% of the item cost. The enemy champion will lose 10%/20%/30%/40%/50% movement speed for the next 15 seconds.

E. Wiring Money: The Tax Man casts a beam connecting an enemy and friendly champion, which steals 2g/4g/6g/8g/10g per sec for 3 seconds

R. Tax Shelter (Ultimate): Can only be cast in the river. Create a grand island that lasts for 30 seconds and erupts piles of gold everywhere. Creates a global slot machine emptying sound effect to alert all friendly and enemy champions that the shelter is in effect.

Alternate Skin: Mick Taxxer Dark re-skin, character taunts about how much money he has made in career. Ultimate plays "Gimme Shelter" instead of slot machine sound effect.

What makes you think that? It seems to me that they meant for the brothers to be paired since the beginning and, logically, designed them concurrently to have similar graphic and gameplay details.
