Sugar free dum dums, the small suckers, that really helped me out. I'm 24 and quit smoking 6 months ago after 9 years constant (yes, I was one of the dumb kids who thought it was really cool to smoke), it is possible.

I eventually got over that, too. So don't feel too bad. I smoked for 15 years, and quit last september. I run 4 miles a day now, too. That's really the biggest shock of all.

Wow! I can't even imagine running without feeling like I'm gonna cough up a lung. I need to do something productive though, I'm scared I'll gain weight. But a little weight gain is nothing compared to the possible illnesses smoking could cause me

Man, i gained nearly 40 pounds, no joke. And I didn't replace my cravings with candy or sugar. Just the act of not having a stimulant in my body every hour caused me to balloon. It's going to happen, so don't worry about it, just start exercising. Not only will you feel better, it will alleviate any cravings.

I actually find those ecigs harsher than a real cigarette. Good luck to you. I've tried to quit 7 times in the past 4 years.

Depends on what kind you get, especially in the ejuice department. Check out that subreddit, there's a lot of good information about the different personal vaporizers out there. I've been vaping for several months and it helped me quit smoking analogue cigarettes.

This comment isn't going to be funny, merely informative. If you're a smoker, the only two actions you do more than lift your cigarette to your mouth is blink and breathe. You could even just take deep breaths and raise your two fingers to your lips. Might help relax you and ease the transition.

What he said. Part of helping the psychological addiction is the reflex that you become used to. Raise your two fingers to your mouth or even get something like a little straw, that helps the cravings a lot.
As far as chemical addiction goes, I know people who are using the e-cigarettes to help ween them off of smoking, and as far as I know there aren't any major health detriments to them, and the nicotine concentrations are adjustable to help decrease intake.

currently smoking from an ecig. Haven't smoked a cigarette in almost 4 months. they're a great investment, because you still get the nicotine fix you need (which you can wean off of by getting a lower dosage each time) but it's water vapor, not smoke.

I have really long arms. When I stand around I don't really know what to do with them. If I just walk around with them in my pockets it feels weird. I've seriously thought about starting smoking just so that I can hang around without looking like a dork.
