In order to reach that episode you would have to watch the series for like a month nonstop. Just so you know what you're in for. It's a great show though. Lots of funny moments and a few sad ones as well.

One Piece is totally underrated. It is hands down one of the best anime series that I have ever seen. The one scene that had me in tears from laughing so hard was Franky Cola Problem. And the whole Chopper origin story was incredible as well.

True. Chopper is EVERYWHERE, and Puroland, Sanrio's amusement park, is doing a One Piece crossover theme right now. PLUS there's a fancy art gallery that's up until June 17th. You have to buy time slot tickets because it gets so crowded.

It doesn't do nearly as well in the U.S. as it should, primarily due to the massacre that was the 4Kids! dub. Most people associate it with that version, and avoid the series.

No the one that was on Toonami was at first by 4Kids! but finished with episodes done by FUNimation. (Same people who did Dragon ball Z and Fullmetal Alchemist) P.S. With FUNimation Zoro and Piccolo have the same voice actor.

They had to go on hiatus for a while because they only owned rights for up to the G8 arc. Now they obtained the rights to the Davy Back Fight and Water 7 arcs, which is only about a third through the series. Next DVD is releasing soon.

This was an awesome arc, I loved when Franky built his own bridge to replace the broken one, and later on Nami comments about it - nothing is forgotten in this series; the continuity is great.

Also how Luffy never gives a shit and is practically fearless (except for his nakama)

The first DVD showed up. Not as good as I'd hoped - the biggest problems are related to the dubbing. I prefer the Japanese language track (I don't understand Japanese, but the intended pace and emotions come through, and subtitles provide the rest). The problem being the voice actors are apallingly bad. I may have to watch the second episode with the tv on mute!
