That's Rebel Yell at King's Dominion in VA. Crazy ride, can choose to ride backwards or forwards.

*source: this ride scared the wits out of me as a child.

There were three cars going on the tracks so I don't know for sure. I only road one of them, but I think only forwards is available currently.

It was one of the first rollercoasters I've ridden. It never stopped turning or bumping. It wasn't smooth at all and it made me hit my head against the safety rests a few times.

There's a ride called The Racer at King's Island near Cincinnati, it is the same concept and looks pretty similar.

King's Dominion is an exact copy of Kings Island, they have all the same rides just named differently. It's creepy.

Used to be the same. King's Island has been under a different under for the past 4 or 5 years now and is A LOT different than King's Dominion now.

Kings island and Kings Dominion are both owned by Cedar Fair.

Both were previously branded with the Paramount logo. They kept the two parks similar. When Cedar Fair took over both parks, they decided to make them each unique. There are still plenty of similarities, but not near as many as there used to be.

That's what I thought it was too. Even looks like it's by the midway, although if it IS from KI it's pretty old footage. That section of the park looks way different now.

that's weak, the forward track didn't get stuck NEARLY as much as the reverse. I've seriously been stuck at the top of the first drop three times. I'm a slow learner.

I love the rebel yell and Kings dominion in general, but if thats Kings Dominion its made from OLD pictures because look at all the unused land to the side. KD is very developed up to the sides of the RY today.

It might be from the movie 'Rollercoaster' that was shot there in the 70's. I haven't seen it in a long time though, so I can't remember if an on ride shot like this was in the movie.

Did you ride before they implemented the brakes at the bottom of the hill, in addition to the revamped harnesses?

I rode it back when it first came out, and at that point the drop DID make just about everyone I know (including myself) get the brief "blackout," and the harnesses weren't really padded, so the ride was almost as painful as fun.

Now I get to just act like a cranky old man, talking about the Intimidator back in my day.
