One thing I've never understood is that Australia and New Zealand are separated by about 300-400 miles, yet all the deadliest things ever are in Australia while New Zealand looks fucking amazing and doesn't have as many creatures of death.

As a member of the New Zealand consulate I can tell you that New Zealand is much better than Australia. We have the world's longest toothbrush fence, and Gary the sheep. I have a VHS with a list of other attractions you could borrow, if you would like? I also manage a band from New Zealand that gets up to all sorts of rock and roll adventures and the like. They are available for gigs if anyone is interested.

Yeah you're right. In my defense I was using a world map we keep above my toilet and since I live in Florida, I used the basis that Cuba is 90 miles from Florida. You can see where my estimates went to shit.

It's probably because of the climate, mate. Australia is a sweaty hot ballsack desert, while New Zealand is pretty temperate. Summer can be mild, and winter can even be warm.
