Original Submission (100%): Rap [fixed] [D]

I hope everyone knows that it's the word before "nigga" that rhymes.

Example: I go hard in the paint nigga, leave you stankin' nigga, what the fuck you thankin' nigga

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

I agree, but I also think you can have a good rap song without saying that every two goddamn seconds. Maybe the genre isn't for me and all that good old bullshit, but that's just my two cents.

[–]logrusmage 12 points13 points ago

They don't want to know. They'd rather believe they're not slightly racist.

[–]VelocityVandetta 7 points8 points ago

"Rascist" is the white man's "Nigger"

[–]rtarplee 4 points5 points ago

I always thought powder face was the white mans nigger

[–]Kinomi 4 points5 points ago

I always thought they tried to use "honkey" or "cracker". And then we laughed because they're dumb as shit words and we don't care what a bunch of spooks say.

[–]logrusmage 1 point2 points ago

Except when it is true people don't get mad at you for pointing it out. Bah dim tish.

[–]wobwobwobbuffet -1 points0 points ago

I was flying out to Chicago for the weekend, I bought a copy of Spin from Hudson News solely because Flocka was on the cover.

It was a great choice.

[–]kevcube -1 points0 points ago

For a relevant example, work hard play hard by wiz khalifa

[–]tuckertucker 2 points3 points ago

Posts like this remind me of the post every popular on facebook that laments the death of music by comparing the lyrics of Justin Bieber ("Baby Baby Baby ooohhh") to lyrics of bands like Led Zeppelin and songs like Stairway, and then saying music has only gone downhill.

That's a ridiculous and unfair comparison. The 70s and 80s (especially the 80s) gave us some truly awful 'music.'

[–]Klowned 1 point2 points ago

Nostalgia, confirmation bias.

Winner!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOPEfF9AWYw I find this guy to be pretty good with words.

Came here for this. Did not leave disappointed.

[–]moderatepanda 5 points6 points ago

HAHAHA! oh tiny Wayne.

[–]mangopie101 3 points4 points ago

i saw this on facebook...

[–]WhatThePenis 13 points14 points ago

Facebook saw it on Reddit. And the cycle continues.

[–]wobwobwobbuffet 3 points4 points ago

If you're trying to argue rap is easy you may not want to use the rapper who gave us "I don't care who's buyin, I'mma celebration/Black and white diamonds, fuck segregation" and "Real G's move in silence like lasagna" in the same song. Anyone who hates on Weezy needs to listen to Tha Carter III.

[–]jklpuzo 2 points3 points ago

Real G's move in silence like lasagna

I don't get it :(

Quick edit: Yes, I do. Took me a sec.

[–]mike45010 1 point2 points ago

Exactly why his music is genius...

[–]jklpuzo 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, not my personal cup of tea as of right now, but I haven't listened to enough of his stuff compared to the appearances he makes in other songs to form a fair opinion on it.

[–]mike45010 1 point2 points ago

It's easy to hate so I can understand why so many people do, but there are tons of lines like this that just go over people's heads, and they don't understand that there really is more to it than rhyming nigga and talking about money

[–]The_Ion_Shake 1 point2 points ago

That'd be Tha Carter IV, the song you're referring to is 6 Foot 7 Foot.

[–]wobwobwobbuffet 1 point2 points ago

Oh, sorry, what I was saying wasn't clear. I know 6 Foot 7 Foot is from Carter IV, but I wasn't really taken with it as an album. Tha Carter III, on the other hand, is near the top of my favorite albums list. I was recommending III separately from the bit about 6 foot 7 foot.

[–]The_Ion_Shake 1 point2 points ago

I enjoyed a few songs from IV but it was a bit of a hit and miss. I think i'll give III a shot then!

[–]DiscordianStooge 0 points1 point ago

So, is he Weezy, Tha Carter, or Lil' Wayne? Or are those different people?

[–]zacuke 1 point2 points ago

Dear Reddit, Please stop down voting people who ask legitimate questions.

[–]wobwobwobbuffet 1 point2 points ago

His real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., Lil' Wayne is the name he raps under, and Weezy is a nickname derived from Lil' Wayne. Weezy and Lil' Wayne are just as valid, it's just a choice of which he uses.

[–]TheBeardofWin 0 points1 point ago

I'm sorry but Da Drought 3 is the only Lil Wayne "album" I've been able to tolerate. It's a damn shame too because it's a masterpiece.

He reminds me a lot of Chamillionaire - his albums are clearly to sell while his mixtapes are actually a show of his talent.

[–]iNNeRKaoS 1 point2 points ago

It also rhymes with Trigger.

[–]mike45010 1 point2 points ago

trigga*

[–]philge 1 point2 points ago

[Fixed] Level: [Fixed] [Fixed]

[–]oderint_dum_metuant 0 points1 point ago

As a lifelong fan of Rap, I can say with certain authority that Lil Wayne is one of the most impressive lyracists of all time.

People that make fun of his deceptively clever disposition have yet to attend any true consideration of his talent.

If you disagree I don't give a Hoover damn.

[–]easycumeasyhoe 2 points3 points ago

I would have to disagree sir. He has writers that write his lyrics for him. I use to like Lil Wayne but I think I quit liking him after it became all about the money. Let's get real. I appreciate an artist who has more love for the music and fans. I'm not saying his music is interesting but with Lil Wayne there is much more to it. Speaking of which the only reason Lil Wayne is even were he is at in his career is because of Birdman. Birdman saw an opportunity and decided to fly with it. (no pun intended) anyways to sum it all up I also disagree with anyone who says that Lil Wayne comes up with his own lyrics simple face being that the rapper drinks alot of "purple drank" If you have ever drank this formula you would know that it turns your brain into mush. Codeine and promethazine is my number one choice. I love it as much as he does. Anyways sorry for the rambling and I'm sure you give zero fucks about my opinion but just wanted to share it with you anyways. Thank you for your time fellow redditor. (sorry for the spelling and grammatical errors, to much purple)

I'm still looking for the fix from the original that is so old.

The other thing I'm wondering is where all that karma came from....

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Good thing I can just add two fixeds to a repost, otherwise this karma thing would be hard.

[–]cptki112noobs 0 points1 point ago

Bitch rhymes with bitch, too! :D

[–]Jp1496 -2 points-1 points ago

This is such a repost...

[–]worddoc -1 points0 points ago

I came into this thread just to see if Original Finder would actually pick the fixed version. I am overjoyed.

[–]ilikenavyblue -1 points0 points ago

I'm sure poems rhyme every line too right?

[–]youatowel -1 points0 points ago

Nigga nigga nigga nigga nigga nigga nigga 100% nigaa.

[–]TheBeardofWin -1 points0 points ago
