Is it just me or does it seem like most of the posts in this sub are just meant to be cute for its own sake, mainly pics of animals, and baby animals at that? What about the pith of life? The suffering? The grit? Why not a picture of a pile of potatoes, pulled from the ground by dint of the sheer labor of someone paid far to little, still encrusted with dirt, showing the hard truth of life's labors and its promise of but a few morsels of mild flavor by the sweat of brows bathed in the beating sun?
