I'm still surprised that Samsung is one of the few companies to not turn into giant penises spinning their dicks in my face. Considering every other electronics company seems to have made it their life goal to fuck me over at every turn, I'm still impressed that they've got a really good track record of products. It seems completely insane to say it in this day and age, but apart from Valve they might actually be a....good..company.

On a serious note, Samsung has top notch support. I have a Samsung fridge that had the compressor go out 3 weeks after the 1 year warranty lapsed. I put in a support ticket and they still honored the warranty and extended it for another 1 year. I had a LCD monitor go out as well and they had it replaced ASAP and extended the warranty for another 2 years. They even had someone calling me every other day while my cases were open asking how everything was going.
They are easily the best support I have gotten from a manufacturer ever.

Riot games actually does some pretty awesome stuff, too.

They put out League of Legends, a free to play game. There's two ways to unlock content. IP, which you get through playing. And RP, which you pay for with money. Sometimes you're 10, 20, 30 RP short of affording something. Maybe that skin you've wanted is on sale, maybe a new character just came out. Put in a support ticket with a drawing of something LoL related and they'll deposit the appropriate number of RP onto your account. Always thought that was pretty awesome of them.

I wish I got to talk to that guy when they kept my monitor for 6 months, refused to send it back, refused to refund my money, and refused to replace it with a comparable model, then refused to respond to the BBB. Then finally after threats of legal action finally sent me a refund check for the monitor they wouldn't return..

Wait. You cna win people over by being nice and playing along and not being a total jerk of a company that is out of touch with its customers, and NOT just by spending hundreds of millions of dollars on stupid ads that are being shoved down consumers their throats???

(yes Samsung does all that but my point is the kind of actions like OP posted are MUCH more effective and WAY cheaper than any stupid massive ad-campaign. Just make decent products and tell people what the product can do and how much it costs, and be a nice to your customers. Companies should stop making commercials that just show beautiful happy people, trying to brainwash people into thinking the product will make you happy)

My dad works for samsung and they get TVs, phones, computers, for christmas if the company meets a quota.

Also, they are very optimistic. I read a few lines of a company wide email and they never use the word try at all. Its we WILL beat Apple. We will take control of the phone market. All hail the fearless leader.

USA here, I too own a Samsung Exhibition or something phone, samsung HDTV, and Samsung chronos series laptop. All of them are amazing. T.V. got rained on for 12 straight hours, it chirps and beeps during every storm now but works like a charm somehow. Samsung is the new Nokia. Also recently my hard drive shit on me, they took it back put an entirely different working drive in and and sent it back in less then a week.

Also dropped this new laptop already within i'd say a month after that from around waist high to linoleum, 2 inch high huuugeeee gashed corner, still works like a charm.

Samsung for life now.

Had a monitor flicker a bit once and called them up - no hassle or anything just told me to ship it back and they would cover the cost. About 4 or 5 days later I had the monitor back to me working and fixed. :)

Now I have a Samsung LED TV that gets compliments every single time someone comes over, a Samsung LED monitor to match (and a non LED Samsung one for my second monitor) and just got a Samsung Galaxy 10" tablet. They seem to know what they're doing!
