Great, the money thing again. Now, we're obligated to point out your hereditary theocracy, then you say "but that's just symbolic, we're really secular." Then we point out that the queen is on your money too. Then you say that is a silly thing to point out. Then somebody posts a picture of a Canadian coin that has says "d.g. Regina" meaning "by the grace of god, queen" then we argue about whether old Latin formal titles matter . . .

[–]the_die 18 points19 points ago

BUT BUT BUT...

FUCK AMERICA

[–]bonnily 1 point2 points ago

you keep repeating yourself

[–]skysophrenic 1 point2 points ago

Butt Fuck it

[–]ok_you_win 2 points3 points ago

Dont forget the ultimate rebuttal about most of secular Europe having gods and crosses in their cultural paperwork.

[–]bonnily 0 points1 point ago

Let's give the Euro some love, it's just some awesome buildings and stuff.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

What's that on the twenty?

Oh, it's a stained glass church window.

Ooops

[–]bonnily 1 point2 points ago

Well, you can say what you want but some churches are actually quite impressive buildings.

[–]see-eh -1 points0 points ago

I never thought about this. A theocracy... oh joy.

[–]leaveallyouhave23 -2 points-1 points ago

This subreddit had caused me to revisit God as a positive force. I mean, if this is what people are like without him...

[–]Buffalox 0 points1 point ago

There is no evidence for "God as a positive force", and just because I may be wrong it doesn't make you right.

You can be bad with or without God, just as you can be good.

What it boils down to, is what kind of person you really are.

But you are free to base your life on unsubstantiated religious claims if that's your choice.

[–]ENovi 56 points57 points ago

Hey Canada, if you turn that 100 dollar bill over, you'll see quite an accomplished scientist and skeptic

[–]canuck_rob 43 points44 points ago

But you can't rub yours together to make it smell like maple syrup.

[–]FrankinComesAlive 10 points11 points ago

Is that actually true? People keep saying it but I don't run into enough 100's to test is out.

[–]justin4140 4 points5 points ago

Smells like it to me!

[–]VancouverIslander 3 points4 points ago

Yes they do, you get four or five and you can actually smell it. Yes they smell like maple, Yes its stupid.

moving on...

[–]burn_after_redditing 0 points1 point ago

"maple syrup" is not the smell I would use to describe them.

It's a vaguely "hot plastic" smell that is somewhat industrial and has a smoky sweetness to it. If you lean in and take a big sniff, the chemical odor overpowers the subtle one, and you can clearly tell that it's the smell of the plastic and manufacturing process, but if you only have a few bills and are not smelling too hard then I could see where you would get the confusion.

Also, as a note the new 50's have the same smell as the 100's

Source:http://imgur.com/55nPz

Smelling $30K in brand new bills at work. Bill sleeves were blurred because you could tell the date and bank they came from.

[–]ac157 9 points10 points ago

He is only on the 100 dollar bill because he was a founding father not because he was a scientist.

[–]bakedCake 1 point2 points ago

If you think Ben's life wasn't taken into account when they chose to put him on the big 100 then you are mistaken. He was a well known as a hard-working businessman and skeptic, it's all in his autobiography.

[–]Boreal_girl 2 points3 points ago

Now if only we could get that fat whore of a queen off of the other side.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

Oh, you mean the one that's the head of a state-sponsored church? The 'Defender of the Faith'?

Edit: forgot to add: the head of that state cannot be married to a Catholic. Evil idolaters, seemingly.

[–]the_die -2 points-1 points ago

BUT BUT BUT...

FUCK AMERICA

[–]lickslips 0 points1 point ago

Haha America...

[–]fro99er 29 points30 points ago

now, if only we could get god out of our anthem ....

[–]robot-shmobot 8 points9 points ago

Just start singing the original version. "Oh Canada, glorious and free!" People do a double-take when I skip the deity.

[–]GrindyMcGrindy 2 points3 points ago

All the while Quebec suppresses basic liberties like freedom of speech to students protesting tuition hikes. Not so very good guy Canada, eh?

[–]the_pin 2 points3 points ago

Haha, first of all Quebec doesn't count.

Second, I hardly think raising tuition from $2500 to $3600 per year is so terrible. $3600/year is still the cheapest tuition in Canada/North America. The basic liberties, well...once you start getting violent and rioting you can't hide behind liberties that are only available to people acting in a civilized manner. The whole idea of policing and the justice system is premised upon acting civilized even in situations of protest.

[–]TheJollyBrit 2 points3 points ago

Nah, good on them for protesting. We only managed two/three days of protests about fees being tripled to £9000.

[–]GrindyMcGrindy -1 points0 points ago

Quebec does count no matter how much you want to discount it from your country. I can't just say throw away the entire American south because they're the primary bible bumping states can I? Should I point out the city of Vancouver has used losing at hockey as a tipping point to start two riots? So does BC not count because those riots were more mundane than what students in Quebec are protesting.

3,600 dollars is still an extra 1,100 dollars more that compounds over time. Let me ask this question: Did you support the occupy movement? Part of what that stupid movement, while I agree with some of things they said need change they offer no solution and no unified platform so the movement has become purely stupid at this point, was that tuition rates were too high.

Considering the economic situation where Wall Street is profiting while other places are still hurting the extra 1,100 dollars in tuition hurts the personal wallet even more.

Also, you're partially right that the justice system is premised upon acting civil. However, the justice system has more premise in protecting property than civility.

[–]van_vanhouten 7 points8 points ago

I just sing "All keep our land / glorious and free"

[–]folkshade 0 points1 point ago

"May we" actually keeps the syllables even in the chorus. Either way, I want to see "god" removed... it's about time.

[–]van_vanhouten 3 points4 points ago

Sorry, but I don't see replacing one syllable with two improving the metre of the song. I sure do respect your opinion though, buddy.

[–]folkshade 2 points3 points ago

May we keep our land (5) Glor-i-ous and Free (5)

Thoughts?

[–]van_vanhouten 2 points3 points ago

I think that the 4 to 5 creates an upward momentum to the song and singing the may we part seems rushed (and a little french).

[–]van_vanhouten 4 points5 points ago

Actually, I take that back, I just sang the song with a slightly different rhythm and it worked quite well. Good work ya hoser.

[–]onealns 2 points3 points ago

I'm an atheist myself, but how can there be so many posts on reddit bashing people complaining about the teaching of evolution and whatnot in schools; and then you post this.

IMO; who. gives. a. flying. fuck. what is in your anthem. or the american anthem; or pledge of allegiance.

ffs

[–]folkshade 1 point2 points ago

Thanks for your criticism. Having a national anthem of a purportedly "secular" country give tribute the arbitrary Christian god is favouritism. Where there is favouritism, there's is discrimination on the other end. We apparently believe in equality for all, yet our outdated anthem gives preference to a particular demographic while disregarding other beliefs (and non-beliefs).

[–]_NoMercy888 1 point2 points ago

I have absolutely no problem with a reference to god in our anthem. The only criticism I really ever heard about O Canada was the line "in all my sons command".

[–]Demonhuntern 0 points1 point ago

Because it represents the people who make up that country

[–]BobTheLob 6 points7 points ago

I was asked to find the mention of god a while ago it took my mother father and my self singing though it 3 times to find it; it isn't that important

[–]blind_faith 0 points1 point ago

out of the anthem and off the coins

[–]auandi 0 points1 point ago

Or the preamble of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

[–]mcSibiss 0 points1 point ago

In french there is no mention of god. Although there is a mention of faith.

[–]wtrmlnjuc 0 points1 point ago

Just sing the French version

Way different in meaning.

from Wiki:

O Canada! Land of our forefathers, Thy brow is wreathed with a glorious garland of flowers. As is thy arm ready to wield the sword, So also is it ready to carry the cross. Thy history is an epic Of the most brilliant exploits. Thy valour steeped in faith Will protect our homes and our rights Will protect our homes and our rights

Well, it still contains cross, but it's less direct.

[–]SaintBio 1 point2 points ago

And it contains "valour steeped in faith".

[–]ChildofBodom 0 points1 point ago

Faith doesnt mean God. I have faith that if i was in a burning building my dog would pull me out :D

[–]SaintBio 0 points1 point ago

No, you have confidence that your dog would pull you out based on evidence that it cares for you.

[–]SlaughterMeister 7 points8 points ago

STOP REPOSTING THIS SHIT!

I'm very pleased with our new money, but it has nothing to do with the goddamn microscope. It's shiny.

[–]ghastlyactions 22 points23 points ago

Hey Canada... any chance you'll trade your health-care system for our churches? I'll throw in the entire Tea Party for free.

[–]kcholmes24[S] 20 points21 points ago

If you throw in your ridiculously cheap everything, and booze sold in grocery stores, you might have a deal.

[–]ghastlyactions 9 points10 points ago

I live in Colorado... no booze in grocery stores. I used to live in Georgia... no booze in grocery stores or on Sundays. Sorry dude. Best I can do is throw in Nasa but you have to leave us Space-X.

[–]kcholmes24[S] 11 points12 points ago

I'm good thanks. but seriously, I went to a costco in washington last month, case of beer for 16 bucks. blew my freakin mind.

[–]ghastlyactions 9 points10 points ago

Yea it's state by state but wherever you go Costco always kicks ass.

[–]CommandrShepherd 3 points4 points ago

Watch out though, last time I went to Florida we grabbed some Coors Light. Apparently Light down there means 3%. I'm pretty sure our tap water has more alcohol than that.

[–]mrizzerdly 0 points1 point ago

I cannot drink an American beer, for that reason. Also, I will swear it is brewed in a lab, and they have far more than 4 ingredients. And Bud is made with rice.

[–]ok_you_win 1 point2 points ago

My local Canadian Costco has a liquor store built in. Perchance you live in the land of the LCBO?

[–]kent_eh 5 points6 points ago

Thanks for rubbing it in, Alberta.

[–]ok_you_win 1 point2 points ago

Yeah! We get to fondle the bottles before we buy them. We can take them for little walks around the store. :P

[–]ZeeBuge 0 points1 point ago

It's cheaper in Quebec for a case, the cheapest I ever saw was a 10 for 24, 3 limit per house (they were overstocked)

[–]McFeely_Smackup 0 points1 point ago

In 7 days from today, Washington starts selling liquor in Costco and grocery stores. This is like Christmas for adults. Alcoholic adults.

[–]AmmatarIV 0 points1 point ago

What? I live in L.A. and buy my vodka/Vons from Costco all the time o_O Wtf is up with Colorado?

[–]azripah 0 points1 point ago

What Georgia did you live in? Plenty of booze in our grocery stores.

[–]Gingerbreadmancan 0 points1 point ago

No booze in NY and most of east coast. I've only encountered booze in stores was CA. But that's just me. Well we can buy beer in grocery stores, not liquor.

[–]siltchad5 0 points1 point ago

incorrect. a king soopers down south and a couple safeways (centennial maybe) sell it.

[–]mrizzerdly 0 points1 point ago

WA blows my mind whenever I'm there. You can get beer everywhere... versus BC, where the government stores close at 8pm, and closed Sundays, and the private stores are at least 3 dollars more expensive.

[–]jcw801 1 point2 points ago

I don't know where you are but here just about every Sobeys has a liquor store on it.

[–]LawbringerSteam 0 points1 point ago

We don't need our grocery store booze, we have the corner store stuff!

[–]costas_0[!] 13 points14 points ago

Can we swap Obama for Harper too ?

[–][deleted] 39 points40 points ago

I don't think you want Harper.

[–]ANEPICLIE 4 points5 points ago

This! A thousand times this!

[–]kent_eh 1 point2 points ago

Shhh. We're trying to get rid of him, and you're souring the deal.

[–]maxmouse 0 points1 point ago

I shall never allow a trade of Harper as long as we keep getting shit like this: http://www.cbc.ca/news/arts/story/2012/05/24/nude-harper-painting-sold.html

[–]Subzero_Archer 1 point2 points ago

I didn't even have to click the link...

[–]salami_inferno 1 point2 points ago

Dude, did you remove your OWN upvote?

[–]tyotya_grizelda 0 points1 point ago

Did you watch Ghostwriter?

[–]The_Purple_Zebra 14 points15 points ago

Harper and Justin Beiber are a package deal

[–]evilcanuck 17 points18 points ago

Yea I Rather Have Obama than Harper

[–]Cilph 7 points8 points ago

I don't have to be American or Canadian to know you do not want Harper in the US.

[–]costas_0[!] 0 points1 point ago

ahahaha it was clearly a joke. I am canadian btw.

[–]notalannister 4 points5 points ago

You've got to be kidding.

[–]costas_0[!] 0 points1 point ago

yep

[–]mattk0re 3 points4 points ago

We'll trade access to hulu for your money. Actually, we should just share both.

[–]Canadian4Paul 1 point2 points ago

Ok final offer....

Canada gets cheap merchandise, beer in grocery stores, an NFL team, a few navy warships (because his noodliness damn well knows we need some), access to all regionally-restricted websites, and you have to return ownership of Tim Hortons. Also next year you need to make sure a Canadian team wins the Stanley cup.

In exchange we'll give you universal health care, Steve Nash, the Toronto Blue Jays AND the Raptors, the province of Prince Edward Island, the province of Newfoundland, and all the poutine and maple syrup you can eat. However you also have to take nickelback.

[–]Multikulti_cult 4 points5 points ago

I FUCKING LOVE CANADA

[–]Flynn58 5 points6 points ago

I'm a Canadian, just pointing it out: Dei Gratia Regina.

[–]skysophrenic 10 points11 points ago

http://imgur.com/0WIle

This may be buried but... this is to show what we've got in the UK.

[–]skysophrenic 5 points6 points ago

If needed: Charles Darwin on the 10 Pound note, Public Libraries on the 50 Pence Coin, Marconi's Wireless Transmission 2 pound coin, Double Helix Two pound coin, Darwin's face with Chimp's face Two Pound Coin.

[–]Subzero_Archer 0 points1 point ago

That looks awesome.

[–]sugarringdoughnut 0 points1 point ago

This is the old Bank of Scotland £20 showing an HPLC machine which if memory serves me right is from the research for Dolly the sheep.

[–]vousetesbelles 0 points1 point ago

BRB moving to the UK.

[–]leyniaz 2 points3 points ago

Woo insulin!

[–]Crewzie 2 points3 points ago

Also it doesn't rip.

So there's that.

[–]Icanhazcarrot 2 points3 points ago

On top of that, they smell like maple syrup! I'm not even kidding; the new Canadian $100 bills smell like maple fucking syrup.

[–]king_bestestes 2 points3 points ago

In Canada, no one really cares. Science on our money, God in our anthem, but I haven't ever heard anyone make a huge fuss about either. We tend to get along just fine.

[–]MightyCoast 2 points3 points ago

Woohoo! I would be dead right now if Canadians didn't create insulin. So cool to see it on a $100 bill.

[–]GoldenWarrior 2 points3 points ago

We have god in our anthem and in our fucking constitution(which serves no fucking purpose, why did they put it in?). We still have a ways to go

[–]question-sleep 2 points3 points ago

I'd rather have a less crazy prime minister and god removed from the anthem and constitution. I never have 100's anyway. haha

[–]Sonntag 10 points11 points ago

From one Canadian to another, can we agree to stop these kinds of posts? Why the hell are you rubbing our currency in the faces of American atheists? What were you hoping to accomplish with a post that basically says "Oh look our currency has a picture of a scientist not the word god, take that USA"?

[–]the_die 4 points5 points ago

Inferiority complex

[–]Demaestro 0 points1 point ago

Why does it have to be a boast. Can't it just be an interesting point of fact?

Why stop these kinds of posts. We are different and those differences are being pointed out. It doesn't have to be taken as bragging.

[–]Sonntag 0 points1 point ago

It doesn't have to be taken as bragging but it certainly can be, and I think a lot of the other comments show people are taking it the same way I did. It's hard not to take it as bragging when it's posted in the atheist subreddit and contrasted with a picture of an American bill with "In God We Trust" circled in red.

[–]Demaestro 0 points1 point ago

Making a point and bragging aren't the same thing.

I do agree some people are bragging but I think you are being too sensitive. It isn't like you lost in an arm wrestling match in front of a girl you like. It is just someone pointing out a minor difference in our 2 countries values based on what appears on our bills.... no biggie d00d

Some people are proud their money says "in god we trust" and will even brag about it so don't get too hurt over it, and I won't either.

[–]RawrXD -5 points-4 points ago

This has nothing to do with America at all. Take the stick out of your ass. OP is just happy about this, and frankly I am too. Nothing wrong with posting something we're happy about.

[–]brezzz 6 points7 points ago

They could have fooled me by putting a US $100 bill before the thing they were really trying to show.

[–]RawrXD -2 points-1 points ago

We're just showing. How else are you guys suppose to know about our 100s if we don't post it?

[–]cougmerrik 4 points5 points ago

When I get a new kitten I always show people my new kitten by showing them a picture of their overweight cat next to it. I'm also just showing.

[–]sync416 7 points8 points ago

CANADA, YES PLEASE!

[–]caspissinclair 1 point2 points ago

Is that one of the new plastic bills?

[–]Avosetta 2 points3 points ago

Yep.

[–]CATS_IN_MOUSETRAPS 1 point2 points ago

French side on ALL the things!

[–]robot-shmobot 0 points1 point ago

Flocons de mais mon ami, flocons de mais.

[–]Catsinboxes 1 point2 points ago

Also it smells like maple syrup. No joke.

[–]chadcoakley 1 point2 points ago

That's all well and good, but seriously, take Justin Beiber back. Sending him here was straight up terrorism.

[–]ok_you_win 2 points3 points ago

But he loves Jesus and thinks "everything happens for a reason" even rape, though "its sad".

We merely repatriated him to his true home. :P

We are still working out how to extradite VenomFangX however. If only he had some skills, he could get a green card.

[–]azripah 1 point2 points ago

But you also gave us Justin Beiber and Nickelback. We're even.

[–]ok_you_win 0 points1 point ago

Keep the change, Justin case.

[–]sir-potato-head 1 point2 points ago

Oh yeah Canada thread! team atheist canucks assemble!

[–]ChadwickHenryWard 1 point2 points ago

Why is this subreddit so obsessed with British and Canadian money?

[–]cougmerrik 1 point2 points ago

Because having the word "God" out in public where everyone can see it must be a source of shame.

[–]tchetelat 1 point2 points ago

Jesus christ (ha!) people. We get it. The US has 'god' on the money. We know. Other countries have better things. Understood. Fuck.

[–]Payrus 1 point2 points ago

we still have 'god' in our national anthem so we ain't that much better

[–]Longjohn_Server 1 point2 points ago

AAAnd, our money is fucking SEE-THROUGH! Muahahahaha! Science is awesome!

[–]cdankochik 1 point2 points ago

anyone want anything for a timmys run?

[–]someguy73 1 point2 points ago

Oh thank goodness, another, "Hey look, U.S. currency has 'In God We Trust' on it and my country's currency does not" post. I haven't seen one of these since the last 100 times it was posted and I was worried these tired old reposts had finally stopped.

[–]UnknownArchive 1 point2 points ago

So. Fucking. Brave.

[–]sheitstrom 1 point2 points ago

So she's cleaning it? She should be careful, that shit's expensive.

[–]Well_then_sir 1 point2 points ago

Fuck off about the currency, eh?

[–]YusoStoopid 1 point2 points ago

When did celebrating science = atheism?

[–]DaKuteCate 1 point2 points ago

It's to remember the environmental scientists our government just fired.

[–]skolnick 1 point2 points ago

I don't care so much what's on the money (although it's super cool). I like the fact that it's made of a polymer and has a transparent strip. How many places have bills that you can accidentally throw in the laundry and they'll come out in one piece?

[–]schad500 1 point2 points ago

Sir Robert looks as if he disapproves of a lady in a lab coat. He probably did.

[–]PrinceBarrington 1 point2 points ago

England, a Christian country, has no mention of god on its money. Our £10 note has Darwin on the back. :D

[–]ZombieKappa 2 points3 points ago

Canada may be more accepting, more beneficial towards the people of it, kinder, and more dependent on actual scientific facts...

But we 12 to 16 million illegal immigrants. Awwww yeah.

[–]biodrones 5 points6 points ago

I've always wondered what it would be like to live in a country that glorified science and knowledge instead of war and deities.

[–]kcholmes24[S] 10 points11 points ago

It's all right.

[–]captainmajesty 0 points1 point ago

glorified science and knowledge instead of war and deities.

Have you actually been to Canada? And where is Jesus and the tank on your money? Pathetic Americans are pathetic.

[–]Free_Spirit102 4 points5 points ago

Canada: doing it right since 1830 (when we freed the slaves)

[–]Popcom 1 point2 points ago

Canada! fuck yea!

[–]Roykeru 1 point2 points ago

If it wasn't for the red scare in the 50's "Under God" would not be on our money or in our pledge. I think many religious people of that time took the scare of communism to their advantage just so they could engrave there own ideas in others.

[–]goofygoobarock 2 points3 points ago

I think it was more of an effort from leaders to unify the country by putting faith in something most of us believed in. I don't think they were trying to do anything bad, just reminding people that everything will be ok.

But when the cold war ended, so should have "In God We Trust".

[–]patherix 1 point2 points ago

To expand on this, our government decided to put "In God We Trust" on money to separate the theist West from the atheist Communists; effectively showing that we are superior because we have God on our side.

Needless to say, now that the Cold War is over, some question the necessity of this saying on our currency.

[–]MY_OPINION_AS_JESUS 1 point2 points ago

You money is plastic, just saying. Also what is wrong with my father?

[–]the_Milkweed 1 point2 points ago

plastic money has been used for a long time in most third world countries. its cleaner, safer and all around a better idea. just the fact that its taken this long to switch over is sad. you take your dirty coke ridden green bills elsewhere

[–]Stratisphear 1 point2 points ago

The clear-holographic strip is also much harder to counterfeit.

[–]bakedCake 0 points1 point ago

I actually never knew your money was plastic. Stiff plastic like a credit card? That can't be good for the environment, that shit lasts forever.

[–]jared1981 0 points1 point ago

Not stiff, basically the same texture as a "paper" bill, but a bit smoother. I'd assume they are recycled. And because they last longer, you don't need to print up as many.

[–]the_Milkweed 0 points1 point ago

basically just google it

[–]Demaestro 0 points1 point ago

They are better for the environment because they last way longer and thus we don't produce as much.

We also dropped the penny.

[–]penguinHP 0 points1 point ago

Is that the one with Maple Syrup scented scratch-n-sniff?

[–]cold_toast 0 points1 point ago

Which one is worth more might I ask?

[–]IameAuhSomme 0 points1 point ago

Dude, someone burned a hole in your money. You'd better find out who it was.

[–]showmepotatosalad 0 points1 point ago

So how come our bills keep changing for 'security purposes', and America's stay the same? Genuine question

[–]ok_you_win 0 points1 point ago

It would be a vile commie plot if someone changed their bills?

[–]jared1981 0 points1 point ago

Because we did it right the first time. 'Murrka yeah!!!

[–]Demaestro 0 points1 point ago

Because we take care enough to take measures to ensure the security of our currency. The USA doesn't.

Why is the USA still in the Imperial measurement system?

[–]showmepotatosalad 0 points1 point ago

American currency just seems really easy to counterfeit

[–]Senor_Wilson 0 points1 point ago

No not this again...

[–]overlordsteve 0 points1 point ago

I'm getting pretty tired of this stuff. /r/atheism touts that it is moral, and that it has good will toward its own. Well, instead of laughing that some are trapped in a terrible country. A country rapidly approaching a dystopia, you try something positive.

[–]gareen5 0 points1 point ago

The leaf on your money looks like an exploding leaf of sex.

[–]dementedpony 0 points1 point ago

Ok, but does it actually smell like bacon?!

[–]btp99 1 point2 points ago

Nope. Maple.

[–]dementedpony 0 points1 point ago

Yeah I definitely meant to write maple syrup there but I was clearly thinking about something else haha

[–]RickySan65 0 points1 point ago

we actually have maple bacon and damn it's good

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

Wait what? They don't have maple bacon in the US? Holy fuck. You have not lived.

I don't like having "god" on the US dollar, but every time I see someone freak out over some scientist on a foreign reserve I want to jump out a window. Look at how many patents US scientists make every year.

[–]slow_reader 0 points1 point ago

Don't sell us short, our $50 has a research vessel on it.

[–]nsxcaepi 0 points1 point ago

[–]Boriddy 0 points1 point ago

Where is the Free Man?

[–]ShaxAjax 0 points1 point ago

Forgetting everything else about this money, I love that anti-burn maple leaf logo. Fucking awesome.

[–]grospoliner 0 points1 point ago

Get over it.

[–]Stratisphear 0 points1 point ago

The Canadian bill really pisses me off. It's supposed to commemorate the discovery of Insulin by Frederick Banting, but shows a picture of generic female scientist instead.

[–]alyshahales 0 points1 point ago

I was so happy when I got my first new hundred and saw that on it.

[–]UsernameUsername1212 0 points1 point ago

if only i could not give a fuck, oh wait

[–]smokey_smokestack 0 points1 point ago

[–]kmklym 0 points1 point ago

Why do these money posts keep making it to the front page? There was that one week where all it was was posts about this.

[–]PedroDelCaso 0 points1 point ago

[–]Strkszone 0 points1 point ago

The 100 dollar bill is facing the wrong way... Ben Franklin was a scientist :S...

[–]Pzazz 0 points1 point ago

In related news, the Candian Dollar passes the US dollar in value.

[–]mage_g4 0 points1 point ago

UK redditor would like to point out that we've had Darwin on the money for a long, long time. :)

[–]Quintysential 0 points1 point ago

We won't miss you.

[–]Shuda7 0 points1 point ago

Again another post that has nothing to do with Atheism. It's to praise science, not Atheism. You can't just combine science with Atheism without giving us a connection to them. It's like "Science therefore Atheism!"

[–]spincurrytheraver 0 points1 point ago

if you flip that $100 over youll see one of the most influential innovators in human history.

[–]truthie 0 points1 point ago

CUZ ATHERDISM HURR HURR!!

[–]IggyWon 0 points1 point ago

If you flip that US 100 around you will find a scientist and statesman. Nobody ever wants to look at the front :/

[–]BanditXJ -1 points0 points ago

Your money will be worthless after the Smug Cloud destroys your whole country.
