I love how you can see the sun reflected off the ocean. Goddamn awesome.

Cant you see cities in the dark?

[–]Astrokiwi 2 points3 points ago

You can, but I think if you set your camera to do that then you'd then be overexposing the lit parts.

But the Earth looks like this from space http://static.ddmcdn.com/gif/google-earth-17.jpg

[–]TipsTheJust 2 points3 points ago

Yeah I found it strange they would show us the unimportant parts of the earth too.

What's the green streak at the end?

[–]pilvy 2 points3 points ago

Yeah, nice capture...guessing its just lens flare or something similar?

[–]ExdigguserPies 2 points3 points ago

Yeah I think so. Perhaps green light is reflected by the atmosphere or something.

I would love to have this as a screensaver or even wallpaper. But slower and higher quality.

[–]Crap_Spackle 5 points6 points ago

I can do slower... can't do much about the quality tho

I love how the Sunlight continuously hits the North Pole.

Needs more Clooney.

[–]ipiprime -1 points0 points ago

Why does it look like the sun wobbles up and down? Actually, I guess it would be the earth, but from this angle it loos like the sun

[–]PepeSalazar -2 points-1 points ago

I could watch that all day <3

[–]edmyster81 -2 points-1 points ago

It's so shiny!

[–]donkeyrocket 0 points1 point ago

Sweet, fancy, Moses. The Earth is awesome.

[–]KingAgrian -2 points-1 points ago

Home sweet home. There isn't another one like it within 10 light-years of here...

[–]creanium -2 points-1 points ago

From this animation, it is clear the sun revolves around the Earth. YOUR MOVE, ATHEISTS.
