My wife threw a surprise party for me once. I told her the marriage will be over if she tries that shit again. I'm extremely introverted and suffer from depression and anxiety, so I usually have to pump myself up for those types of events.

When I say, "those types of events" I'm referring to parties and gatherings in general. There's really no way to get yourself mentally prepared for a surprise, hence, never again.
