Its hilarious how everyone is unsure if they shold him or not due to the perfectness of the dead plank he managed to do they're probably thinking

[–]EyeGifUp 1 point2 points ago

I truly wish I could upvote you more than just once.

[–]EyeGifUp 0 points1 point ago

Thank you for the video.

It's that last part where he flips over headstand like and falls on his belly that always made me think this was staged.

[–]Grazfather 14 points15 points ago

Apparently it's a normal reaction from neck injuries.

[–]Upsilon667 3 points4 points ago

So the guys who made Modern Warfare 2 weren't just making shit up for their kill animations...interesting.

[–]thalescosta 1 point2 points ago

Yes. I forgot the name of this reaction, though. It's more common in sports, like Rugby and MMA fights.

[–]jsaf4 1 point2 points ago

You may be thinking of the fencing response, but this is a bit different. This is abnormal posturing due to a traumatic brain injury, I think I heard he's ok though.

[–]thalescosta 0 points1 point ago

YES! That's the name I wanted to remember! Thanks.

My bad, then. haha. But they are a little similar, I suppose.

Do you know exactly what happened there? I mean, what did his body do to prevent further damage due to the injury.

[–]jsaf4 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, they are very similar, I'm pretty sure that response isn't to prevent damage to the body, but just a disruption of signals in your brain causing a type of mini seizure. This is mostly info I read after I saw that video a while ago of people exhibiting the fencing response after sports injuries.

i love how stiffly he flipped into the dead plank position... my second favorite yoga position

[–]sapagunnar 3 points4 points ago

Well, if you enter a stage by messing up, playing dead might be a viable option.

[–]zombiezelda 8 points9 points ago

I think he died

[–]crozone 4 points5 points ago

I love how at the end he's just like "well fuck this....I'm going to be a plank"

[–]Smoresypoo 2 points3 points ago

You know it's bad when you can't even get on the stage...

[–]Caxinator 9 points10 points ago

You know its good when you come onto stage flying into a planking position

[–]ConSWAG 0 points1 point ago

You know it's great when he cleared a few of them?

[–]notjawn 1 point2 points ago

He ded.

[–]zmartinez12 0 points1 point ago

Maybe he's trying out for a job as a stuntman

[–]jck0falltrades 0 points1 point ago

I've always loved this video for the headstand at the end

[–]Attatt 0 points1 point ago

sigh. video America's Got Talent fail.

[–]Gambl0re 0 points1 point ago

So he's dead?

[–]Happypants 3 points4 points ago

Probably not.

http://realitytvmagazine.sheknows.com/2007/07/11/ivan-the-urban-action-figure-has-accident-on-america%E2%80%99s-got-talent/

Also, his facebook was updated on the 3rd. So, unless there's some massive cover up of his death, he's probably ok.

[–]ducttape36 1 point2 points ago

PAUL IS DEAD

[–]archiface -3 points-2 points ago

Yes that was faked. That's bboy Ivan, he is a world class break dancer. When his body goes rigid on his head is called a pencil freeze, and no humans body would naturally do that if knocked out. It was his way of making a joke out of what he was asked to do.

[–]Methedras 0 points1 point ago

People up there are saying that is a response to a brain injury. Which of you is correct? FIGHT!
