When I was in high school, I didnt drink. However, I did go to a variety of parties. Not to drink, but to drive cars. Me and a few close friends did this often.

What would usually end up happening was that we would arrive in one car. Since most of the incredibly social and status oriented individuals drove their parents nice cars to the parties, keep in mind the school I went to and the surrounding schools had many wealthy families, my friends and I would scope out the party for people that had nice cars and were drinkers. We would approach them when they started drinking, and being the good speakers that we are, we always convinced them that they should party hard and leave the driving home part to us. It was amazing, I got to drive fully built Cummins trucks, Corvettes, BMWs (a few M models), Mercedes (no AMGs), many muscle cars, a supra (it was n/a though...), and countless other cars. Flogging those cars at 3-4am in the backroads while taking drunk asses home was awesome. Thinking back on it, I was rather disappointed with the BMWs and MBs lack of power. The cummins trucks were by far superior to the powerstrokes and duramaxes. No manual in the world is more fun than a 3500+ stalled 400+ci muscle car setup, somewhat controversial opinion though...

I actually miss it.

That's one that feels really good actually. Firstly because I was literally so drunk almost all the time that being able to legally operate a motor vehicle after dark felt kinda like a magic trick or something, and secondly because it's nice to be able to do something tangible and simple to keep my friends who mean so much to me safe.

I dont mind being sober at parties at all, in fact i choose to be a lot of the time recently. I can always have fun without drink, dance and make an idiot of myself without drink. I go clubbing sober a lot as well, saves money for taxi and drink etc as i just drive up there with a few mates.

Yeah - same. The only bummer about being sober at a party I've experienced is (this has happened several times) seeing someone who is totally trashed start to do something that will seriously harm them in some way. Got stuck trying to slow them down because everyone else was too drunk to care. Managing a REALLY drunk person isn't easy XD

Almost 5 months sober and I enjoy watching people making fools of themselves. I then remember that I once was that super loud and obnoxious drunk who'd end up falling down stairs, passing out at the club, or thinking I was a good dancer.

Ugh, so last night I had some people over and someone brought a girl i didn't know. She couldnt hold her shit together and completely missed the trash can. She did however manage to hit two walls the new carpet and the couch. If it wasn't mine i'd probably be impressed.
