Wow... I live right across the street from this park (DaHu park) and I have to say I've never seen it like this. Absolutely stunning.

It's Hess, so there is a basic standard which they abide by, but when I was there, the manager was absolutely terrible. I decided not to do a second year with my class there, mostly because of her. I teach at a different Hess kindergarten in Neihu now (the big, fancy one).

Not sure if you understood... Draw a line on the screen where the water would need to be. At that level, it would flood the sidewalk and the grass on the far side. Just a guess however, could be wrong.

That is not true. Clouds can show up nicely in long exposures. I'll post a night time shot I did.

This is taken at 2am on a moonless night. It was a 30 second exposure. I used a sharpen tool, and no other photoshop work.

There are no clouds in the photo though. But you can see a sort of haze: there was a brush fire in the area causing that. Probably some farmer clearing land.

I think it should be noted that many Eastern Asian architecture does not have perfect shapes. They purposely make it asymmetrical even by a little bit to promote a sense of beauty without making architecture look sterile.

Yes 'p' is for progressive means that the image sequence (movie) is transmitted line by line, instead of interlaced where every all odd lines of the image are sent first (field 1) then the even lines (field 2) (sometimes the other way around too). Usually field 1 and field 2 are not sampled at the same time, so field 2 contains the next image in the sequence, if they are sampled at the same time it is called PsF (Progressive Segmented Frame) which is a way of sending progressive content to outputs only supporting interlaced formats.

I didn't do anything fancy for this one. Somebody had linked to a higher res version that I used. Then I just scaled it, keeping its aspect ratio. To fill the 1920 width, I had to go past the 1200 height and then go back and crop it.

It's simple, but it's better to manually do a scale/crop rather than use a smaller image and let your computer distort it when it tries to fill your screen.

With a DLSR, stop down the aperture, then increase the exposure, probably 5 seconds or more. Then colourize it in photoshop. :P

Ah, the moon bridge. This bridge was constructed by Alexander The Great's chief of engineering, Dzeko Morbido. Dzeko Morbido was famous for his creative, artistic bridge design.
