It doesn't get attention because it's all stupid things that stoners (read: high school students) think of when they smoke weed and think they're funny. Here's one: "What if the color I see as blue you see as red?" "I want a pizza that's half pepperoni, and half pepperoni". It's not funny. High thoughts are not funny thoughts and I don't want to hear it.

/r/trees doesnt have that much marijuana related content, actually, mostly just funny pictures and heartwarming rage comics, only like 1 in 20 posts is actually about trees.

Also, why would you not love marijuana? ahahaha

Well, first off, I wouldn't get mad at you if you didn't like it, as long as you don't like it for the right reasons, and not those that are spoon-fed to people by the media, and second off, I was just wondering why somebody wouldn't like marijuana, it has tons of beneficial effects (treats anxiety, depression, cancer, prevents lung cancer and alzheimers, stimulates appetite, gets rid of nausea, relieves pain, and many more) while the only negative side effects I know of are lung damage (due to the inhalation of smoke, although this can be prevented by using vaporizers or edibles) and bringing out psychological disorders in those who have a family history of them. Also, it gets you high, which is amazing.
