I like the idea behind your argument but it's just an artist's representation of a table. To say that this detail often overlooked would destroy peoples beliefs is a little ridiculous. If their beliefs are destroyed by this then they didn't really have a strong belief system. Nonetheless upvotes for the cool painting

I agree, the artist obviously was not around to observe Adam and Eve. He most obviously created these representations without the knowledge of there being belly buttons present or not.

Upvote for tits.

Oh come on. Its an artist's rendition of Adam and Eve. Its not like its an official photograph.

This is retarded, clearly an artist drawing it thousands of years after the fact isn't canonical. I'm not a Christian but even when I was I'd just say "Eh, the artist didn't think it through. It's not like this is what they looked like."

I'm Catholic. No, this does not leave me speechless. Next?

Err I don't get this, can someone please explain? derp

If the first humans were created by God, not evolution, than they would lack belly buttons. Belly buttons are what is left when the umbilical cord is cut something that only happens in normal, rather than divine, births.

Yeah but <deity> would have thought of that and... poof magic happened.

what about the depictions of where the nails pierced jesus? doesn't destroy beliefs but it is good to to have this sort of out of the bible thinking.

Is it just me, or does eve look very awkwardly shaped?

[–]soccergirl13 0 points1 point ago

What I don't understand is how those tiny leaves cover Adam's penis.

So... renaissance artists not knowing human anatomy is evidence against divine creation? Congratulations, you managed to create a worse argument against creationism than every argument for it.
