The OP is possibly the best karma whore I've yet seen on Reddit. Nearly 23,000 karma in only 4 days -- all by doing exactly what his username says. Heh.

[–]eight8 45 points46 points ago

Time to retire with his 23,000 karma in the bank.

[–]Tyle325 20 points21 points ago

This is my idea for a social experiment. Create New Account every day for a year, save 1 image from the front page from that day, same title and everything. THE NEXT YEAR, have 365 cake days with posts that did well the year before and see how well they will do.

[–]lovelydayfora 3 points4 points ago

You've put so much into planning, you might as well go through with it now

[–]slith93 4 points5 points ago

But he doesn't actually care about the karma. He explains himself in this post: http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/tjk8z/wait_why_are_we_fighting_again/c4n6aiu

I don't do this for karma. The whole reason I made this account is to spread the message that re-posts are pointless, you can't stop them, and people look like an asshole when they comment REPOOOOSSTTT. People vote what they want to see, I've been straight forward about my name and what I do, and still they vote. That should tell 'em something.

[–]Tron-Gorf 9 points10 points ago

It's cool, actually. I can enjoy all the stuff I missed and not give a shit because karma is nothing.

[–]bigups43 4 points5 points ago

but...but...but, the numbers have to be worth something! why are we here?!

[–]Tron-Gorf 4 points5 points ago

For porn and cats.

[–]bigups43 2 points3 points ago

for porn? go on...

[–]rasterbee -2 points-1 points ago

Huh?

I don't see what you're getting at and/or missing the humor. You know what GW is. And if you hang out at new you know almost every other link submitted is for some sort of small porn subreddit.

[–]bigups43 1 point2 points ago

yeah, I was kidding.

[–]rasterbee -1 points0 points ago

Well, it was a huge swing and a miss on your part. Two and a Half Men level humor, honestly, you come across as desperate for attention with that horrible attempt at a joke.

You were sarcastically incredulous about the existence and popularity of porn on reddit. We all know it exists and you expect us to smile and chuckle when you suggest it doesn't/you're not aware of it. You're making fun of your own suggested ignorance? Sometimes so obvious and hard to miss, porn on reddit, you don't know. And since you don't know something so commonly understood by everyone else, that they are all aware of, you are apt to be mocked. Terrible attempt at farce. It's not shocking, unlikely, extravagant or improbable. It's the Jim Belushi of jokes.

Knock it off.

[–]bigups43 0 points1 point ago

Hows the weather up there on your high-horse? This is a website, stop taking yourself so seriously.

Get fucked.

[–]bluntmasterflash 0 points1 point ago

bacon > cats

[–]Renuru 0 points1 point ago

apparently not so much outside of America

[–]poon-is-food 2 points3 points ago

wow, so in 11 hours he gets over 11000 karma?

1000 karma an hour!

I wish i made that much mo..

Oh wait, its not worth anything and i dont give a shit that hes whoring, hell, hes doing it so well.

[–]thejimanator 1 point2 points ago

I messaged OP, he said he's just trolling/reposting his favorite things that have been buried in reddit. He is ridiculously successful in both of these quests.

[–]Shprintze613 48 points49 points ago

Life is unfair....

[–]laststrawpro 1 point2 points ago

Definitely sang that with the "unfair" being drawn out and everything.

[–]poon-is-food 0 points1 point ago

that song has such shitty verses (not played in the titles for the show)

[–]Darkhatred 10 points11 points ago

Good news..karma is worthless

Well his name is irepostoldtoplinks. And jesus: 23000 karma, redditor for 4 days. are you fucking serious reddit?

[–]FlyingPasta 53 points54 points ago

I feel like it's a social experiment on Reddit.

[–]DoWhile 10 points11 points ago

As if you needed to experiment to know that reposts garner much karma.

Herein lies the irony.

The witty repeat receives more than the original.

It's well, well known by now that if you just sort reddit by "top", look for high scorers, and check KarmaDecay, you can regularly get top scoring entries.

[–]SimilarImage 2 points3 points ago

He's rapidly approaching the number one spot on my list.

[–]Omnicide 4 points5 points ago

I like that his username somehow warrants reposting old links, like; "Oh hey it's a novelty account! Ah, It's just doing it's thing, move along."

[–]IamLiamNeeson 1 point2 points ago

I think his brutal honesty is what gets my upvote. He isn't trying to claim it and I haven't seen some of his posts.

[–]Bandit1379 -2 points-1 points ago

So, what part of

was lost on you?

[–]BackScratcher 4 points5 points ago

Seems worth reposting considering the turnaround.

[–]scairborn 9 points10 points ago

He's now living in central PA playing drums for a band hoping to make it big. My friend bumped into him at the local burrito place. It was weird for all involved.

[–]paranoiattack151 22 points23 points ago

Met him once, he's kind of a pretentious fuck

[–]rohinton 8 points9 points ago

He would fit in nicely here.

[–]hiccupstix 4 points5 points ago

He can't possibly be more pretentious or fuckfaced than Jared Leto. That guy is a complete douche, which was a horrible disappointment as I thought his performance in Requiem for a Dream was just terrific. Not to mention I was a big My So-Called Life fan in the '90s. Ugh...

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

His band has made the most pretentious music videos in the history of mankind.

[–]hiccupstix 0 points1 point ago

I just googled his band out of curiosity. I'm actually familiar with a couple of these songs (the one with the video of him fighting samurais and the other one where he's warning the world about global warming), but I didn't realize it was Jared Leto's band. I'm not really a fan of stuff that takes itself this seriously but ... whatever.

[–]akakaze 3 points4 points ago

People are hard on child stars, I think there needs to be a tradition of older actors taking child stars under their wings to explain the differences in acting styles and help them develop a new style. Like Shia LeBeouf, the stuff he's done that's been grating would have been hilarious if he were ten years younger doing Even Stevens, but all his techniques smack of "this works for a child star".

[–]hiccupstix 0 points1 point ago

Good concept, but that didn't pan out too well for Corey Haim. While still a child, he was briefly taken in by Robert Downey, Jr. (while he was living with Sarah Jessica Parker) and things didn't really pan out. At all.

[–]Skitrel 2 points3 points ago

Downey isn't exactly the right kind of person to be guiding someone in the ways of not going off the rails.

[–]hiccupstix 0 points1 point ago

He certainly wasn't back in those days.

[–]James_Hacker -2 points-1 points ago

Ideally the word pederasty needs to be involved.

[–]akakaze 0 points1 point ago

I was talking about as they transition, like just prior to when LeBeouf did the first transformers movie. Someone just able to swing by the set and give tips on how grown-up actors go about the business.

[–]James_Hacker -5 points-4 points ago

If there's grass on the pitch, play ball?

[–]-nox- 19 points20 points ago

Totally forgot he existed...

[–]ivanmarsh 71 points72 points ago

He never knew you did.

[–]DTroll 26 points27 points ago

What a fucking asshole.

[–]AlphaNoon 5 points6 points ago

I bet he doesn't even like Mountain Dew.

[–]ScottCarmichael -4 points-3 points ago

He is untalented too. Pretty sad when your life peaks at 19. He'll be 50+ soon enough and begging for showbiz work like Danny Bonaduce.

[–]opeth10657 18 points19 points ago

Anybody want to take bets whether he's broke and addicted to meth by 30?

[–]Iamthesmartest 16 points17 points ago

Nah man he is 26 now, and like he said he had 40 million when he was 19. If he was going to ruin his life he would've done it by now.

[–]bearsa113609 6 points7 points ago

Seeing that he spent the greater part of his money on multiple cars when he couldn't even drive, I'd venture to say he isn't great with money.

[–]Iamthesmartest 14 points15 points ago*

What else do you have to spend money on at that point? He had more money than my parents when he was a kid. The point that he is 26 and hasn't blown his fortune tells me he is good with his money.

[–]SirSandGoblin 6 points7 points ago

i don't think multiple cars is likely to make much of a dent on 40 million, unless they were absolutely ridiculous cars i guess, and at least 40 of them at that.

[–]Whybother553 1 point2 points ago

He'll probably get his dad to cook it.

[–]aladroit 2 points3 points ago

Would've replied ... "you're"

[–]user112358 -1 points0 points ago

"You're" not used to having to shorten tweets to stay within the 140 character limit. At least he put an E at the end so he didn't seem like a fucking idiot.

[–]Nancy515 1 point2 points ago

Why can't we all just get along ?

[–]Echidnae 1 point2 points ago

I like how original OP added a cool picture of him next to it to make it more dramatic.

[–]hiccupstix 2 points3 points ago

This is an old cropped screenshot of Frankie Muniz's twitter page, and what you're seeing is part of the background.

[–]The_Adventurist 1 point2 points ago

There are always going to be internet haters if you're famous, trying to convince them you're better than they are by bragging about how much money you have just makes you look like a childish dick.

Now comes the Ayn Rand fan club hate mail.

[–]papercowmoo 1 point2 points ago

i want to hate OP because of what he does, but I think it's a good way to show reddit that everyone here is a dumbfuck.

[–]claudesoph 1 point2 points ago

Neither of these fuckers knows what punctuation is...

[–]ashmawaq 1 point2 points ago

that wasnt a burn that was a creepy man child using his money to be a dick

[–]wotutalkinabaaat 5 points6 points ago

I feel torn by this ..... As I also love mountain dew

[–]mrcydonia 8 points9 points ago

40 million dollars but he can't afford an apostrophe key.

[–]WhiteGuyThatCantJump 22 points23 points ago

His tweet was exactly 140 characters. The two apostrophes would have put him over the limit.

On the other hand, had he taken out the ".00" from the dollar amount he makes, he would have been able to add those apostrophes in. I must say, the ".00" does make the $40,000,000 seem about two apostrophes more impressive.

[–]SirRuto 2 points3 points ago

Yeah, I'd say a finely punctuated point was worth 2 apostrophes.

[–]xconde 1 point2 points ago

I was hoping the grammar in his retort would be perfect because mountain dew can't write for shit.

[–]solarnexus -1 points0 points ago

or class

[–]JayDee240 7 points8 points ago

This was posted almost 2 years ago... just saying.

[–]Tallain 60 points61 points ago

Look at the name of the OP, dude.

[–]zenthor109 12 points13 points ago*

so just because of his username we're supposed to let it slide?

EDIT: Just because his username describes what he does, are we supposed to not hate is re-post's the same way we hate everyone else's re-post's? if my username was "picsofdeadcats" and all i did was posts pics of dead cats would you say that it's okay because that's my username?

[–]Tallain 6 points7 points ago

No, not at all. I downvote every post I see of his.

[–]DYKTMM 7 points8 points ago

[–]Tallain 0 points1 point ago

AWWW YEAHHH

[–]chatzimcfee 1 point2 points ago

Well, i think we're just supposed to stop bitching about him reposting. It's not like milli vanilli, we know hes posting shit that isn't his.

[–]Loopyprawn 1 point2 points ago

No, you're supposed to let every damn one slide. Stop bitching about reposts. You're adding to the problem by forcing the people who haven't seen this sift through your bullshit.

[–]mahandal -4 points-3 points ago

[–]rohinton -2 points-1 points ago

Must be your first day here.

[–]BukkakeShampoo 0 points1 point ago

I remember seeing this on Digg... Back when it was still decent.

[–]megatom0 0 points1 point ago

So now he has like 2 million?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

That joke is getting a little old. The douche is large in this one.

[–]ShrednButta 3 points4 points ago

I hate this post. Something is fundamentally wrong with this society.

Cancer researchers make less than 100grand a year, yet this little fuck-wit has 40mil at 19 for memorizing scripts and acting badly.

I feel like it's getting old saying "I don't want to live on this planet anymore." and at the same time I can't find anything more appropriate.

[–]ValiantAbyss -2 points-1 points ago

Maybe because there isn't just millions and millions of dollars to pay every cancer researcher millions of dollars every year?

And besides, I doubt cancer researches care whether or not they make 100thousand or a 100million. If they wanted to be rich, they would have chosen a different profession. Money isn't everything.

Also, researching cancer doesn't make you any money unless you actually cure it. You can't sell research the way you can sell movies and tv shows(Which is how Frankie made all of his money).

[–]tmt71195 2 points3 points ago

I loved Malcolm in the Middle.

[–]Matika7 1 point2 points ago

I loved it at the beginning..

[–]Shooin 0 points1 point ago

I always thought it had the best ending..

[–]HeyJustWantedToSay 1 point2 points ago

A gem in a sea of turds. 99% of his tweeting is inane, boring-as-hell tripe.

[–]Joblesswhore 24 points25 points ago

Isnt that twitter in a nut shell?

[–]jakemyers7 0 points1 point ago

well lets look at his sponsors in racing

[–]Kentravyon 0 points1 point ago

The capitalized "burns" really confused me for awhile.

[–]GoldLegends 0 points1 point ago

I just got all giddy when he used "you're" correctly :D

[–]barium111 0 points1 point ago

Just call him a doo doo head

[–]daherpdederp 0 points1 point ago

I read this title as "Frankie Burns...a dude"

[–]svk66 0 points1 point ago

REPOOOOSST!

[–]Omniabsence 0 points1 point ago

Like any person needs to retire with that much money.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

forever Malcolm

[–]scottyboomboom1 0 points1 point ago

I hate when people use the "well Im more successful than you" comeback. It doesn't prove a damn thing.

[–]Sambamf 2 points3 points ago

I've always loved me some Frankie!

[–]Skynne 1 point2 points ago

No one.. not a single person on this planet has given enough to the world to warrant $40million. The world is fucked up.

[–]Skitrel 3 points4 points ago

Bill Gates.

[–]AspectOf -3 points-2 points ago

How is stealing other peoples ideas and using legal channels to bar your competition from fair use of those ideas supposed to count as giving?

[–]Skitrel 5 points6 points ago

Because, those things are of his early past. Today Bill Gates is the biggest philanthropist in the world. There is nobody that has given more than him, period. Not just that but all of his political views are the most reasonable possible. For a rich man he doesn't try to protect his riches at the expense of the poor. At least not anymore.

Let it go, if you continue holding that kind of shit against people in spite of being WELL past it and demonstrating quite the opposite for years and years then you give absolutely zero incentive to others to do so too.

Bill Gates is one of the best men alive and anyone that knows an ounce about him or the things he's done in the last 10 years will agree completely.

[–]AspectOf -1 points0 points ago

Ok but he's 'giving back', I admire Bill Gates for what he's done with all of his money, but I don't really see how it weights on the question of whether he was deserving of it in the first place. They are separate issues.

[–]Skitrel 2 points3 points ago

He bought something, he saw value in it, he did what the original creator wouldn't have done with it and spawned one of the most influential companies in the world as a result. In addition to that, he's actually not a dick, which is surprising of someone with his level of immense wealth, though one could guess that he simply has so much money he doesn't give a fuck and can be awesome as a result, that's not really true of Trump by comparison is it?

Your statement wasn't "in the first place" it was inferred of the present.

[–]AspectOf -1 points0 points ago

You were replying to someone who said that "No one.. not a single person on this planet has given enough to the world to warrant $40million", the in the first place part is clearly implied.

The point is he didn't 'give' anything to the world aside from founding a company that essentially monopolized intuitive notion of an operating system through a deeply flawed legal process, and this company was incorporated not to give anything but rather to monetize it for the companies investors. Gates didn't give the world computation or operating systems any more than Edison gave the world the light bulb, society just has a tenancy to worship those who commercially exploit inventions rather than those who actually 'give' them to us.

If you want to know something about someone who actually gave us something, who embodied creative genius, about someone who was actually responsible for the possibility of the intuitive idea of an operating system emerging, then you might want to look into this guy. You might also do well to look into how society 'rewarded' him for all he gave to it.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you that Gates is way better than Trump, I'm glad that the person who ultimately made the most wealth personally from the illegitimate commercialization of computation was at least a decent enough person to give most of it back in a charitable manner. But none of this has any bearing on the initial questions of whether or not any individual 'has given enough to to world to warrant $40million' in the first place.

[–]HolyPhallus 0 points1 point ago

He was smart.

[–]KuatoBaradaNikto -4 points-3 points ago

What a fucking douche.

[–]TimeTravelMishap 5 points6 points ago

Yeah somebody insults him and he insulted them back. what a douche!

[–]KuatoBaradaNikto 0 points1 point ago

Somebody insults him and he insults poor people.

[–]Athene_Wins -1 points0 points ago

Fucking Frankie...

[–]Krayzed896 -1 points0 points ago

Once again, fake.

[–]magicaltrevor953 1 point2 points ago

[–]Krayzed896 0 points1 point ago

Thank you! I assumed it was fake due to the mass amount of fake posts/when looking for the user he responded to it was a dude who JUST made the account.

[–]magicaltrevor953 0 points1 point ago

No problem, I think the guy (Liam) changed his account name since sept '10, makes it harder to find. The account named still references it with the two year-old tweets, his actual account is more active.

[–]cool_playa -4 points-3 points ago

Is he really that rich? O.o

[–]obligatory_ 1 point2 points ago

He played the lead character in a successful show that ran for 7 seasons, of course he's rich.

[–]HawrdCoar -2 points-1 points ago

'O.o'

[–]jgilbskier -5 points-4 points ago

he something like this at my cousin haha
