Come on, do the same thing with all the molecules of all the cells of your body. You are the only known part of the universe that can look back at itself and wonder how you work. You are a unique concatenation of atoms, likely never before or to be repeated in spacetime. Marvel at the wonder and luck you ever existed in the first place, it was probably ridiculously unlikely that you ever would have in the first place!

We are the only known example of life, in a universe abundant with non-life. We came from star dust and formed from chemical reactions that began the process of life and over that 4.5 billion years, if just one of my ancestors reproduced with someone else I would not be here right now because my DNA would be different. I keep going back and forth between whether an individual entity is significant or not.

If we compare the capabilities of an individual entity in any one moment. Sure, the majority of things are insignificant, in that instance, while only looking at the capability/affect of the entity at one moment.

If we look at the capability by affect of the same entity over the course of time of the entire universe, then perception changes. Where everything is measured and determined through action/reaction relationships, the action of a single entity would be as significant as any other entity. Anything that will occur, does so at the whim of the present occurrences. Every decision and action you take being a part of what makes the future exist in the way that it will. In this way we are all very significant.

Reguardless of your religions views (if you have any), one should realize as a human how amazingly unique we all are; every life is precious and the possesor of that life has every right to live it to its fullest, so to say that ANYONE is insignificant would be insolent. Jesus people, are you all fucking robots here? How can you live your life being so cold and methodical? You're fucking human, you have the ability to express compassion, unlike any other creature on Earth, be grateful for that!
