Thank you!

[–]Unrelated_Nonsense -3 points-2 points ago

Motorcycle helmets are a good idea... but wouldnt it just be easier to give motorcycles an ejection seat... Being ejected off a motorcycle would probably make me feel like Maverick in Top Gun.

[–]guynamedjames 0 points1 point ago

Well now I know what I want to do with my engineering degree!

[–]HandyCore 2 points3 points ago

Of course the big brother takes up 90% of the pool.

[–]saiariddle 1 point2 points ago

[–]luhr 3 points4 points ago

i came to the comments section JUST for this. thank you!

[–]reiterative 111 points112 points ago

Looks like what happens when significant other and I decide to make drunk sexy time in the shower.

[–]dfitt 17 points18 points ago

Yes yes yes. Add in the fact that half your body is freezing because it's not getting any warm water. Ahh the best of the first-world problems.

[–]blackpeople_harhar 12 points13 points ago

Has anyone else noticed the crazy dancing elephant in the back?

[–]Allurex 35 points36 points ago

I WHIP MY TRUNK BACK AND FORTH

[–]iClarion 15 points16 points ago

That's the habit that elephants develop when they spend their life in close-quarter captivity. It's actually pretty sad. :/ When they get stressed it gets worse, so maybe that's the baby elephant's momma and she's worried.

[–]bloodfreckle 7 points8 points ago

Also came here to say that. It's called "rocking bahavior."

[–]volksman 1 point2 points ago

Came here to say exactly that. This is more sad than cute to me. Humans are fucking savages.

[–]OCedHrt 0 points1 point ago

I thought they're just giving the baby elephants a bath?

[–]dumbledorkus 1 point2 points ago

They are, but the older elephant, probably their mother, is in the background freaking out. Top left.

[–]Whitetornadu 1 point2 points ago

Tears are in my eyes, and milk is everywhere. I hope you are happy now.

[–]tactical_edit 2 points3 points ago

You need one of these. Although if you notice, there's two shower heads and the woman is still pointing both at herself. There may be no winning this fight.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

She's probably also complaining that she's too cold. If a woman reads this I'm just kidding.

[–]glass_canon 0 points1 point ago

First-class-world-problems.

[–]sapo916 0 points1 point ago

That is why your penis is a heat probe that leeches body heat from her.

[–]NathaNRiveraMelo 0 points1 point ago

This is precisely why I want a shower with dual shower heads! A little wasteful, I suppose, but I only shower like once every 10 days!

[–]epicGOPfail 10 points11 points ago

they are so damn cute when they are little

...but then we're still left cleaning up after the elephants 4 years later...

[–]voyagerrr 1 point2 points ago

HAHA that guy's face. Genius.

[–]sufi633 1 point2 points ago

that elephant's face! she's diggin the mid hike quickie.

[–]captainbastard -5 points-4 points ago

Can we get an NSFW tag on this yo.

[–]epicGOPfail 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, really, nekkid elephants

and shit

[–]Elumako 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, that happens when I masturbate in the tub, too. :(

[–]princess_shami 9 points10 points ago

this warms the human's heart

Kiddie pool strength: elephant level

[–]Allurex 10 points11 points ago

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was impressed.

[–]onionhammer 2 points3 points ago

Kiddie pool strength: elephant level

ftfy

[–]WindySin 0 points1 point ago

Description says it's a family size pool since the calves basically pop kiddie pools within 5 minutes. These family size ones last about 5 uses.

[–]nofelix[!] 10 points11 points ago

Okay well now I'm bored of this gif, I want to see them 'phants pop some pools.

[–]deaft 2 points3 points ago

FWP: The instantly activated baby elephants playing on my screen aren't destroying anything.

[–]nofelix[!] 0 points1 point ago

FWP: couldn't remember what FWP stood for and had to google it :(

[–]SociableIntrovert 2 points3 points ago

Care to fill me in? Google is all the way over there and I can't reach it.

[–]tcorr911 12 points13 points ago

I remember my first bath as an elephant...

[–]hotsavoryaujus 19 points20 points ago

You ought to, being an elephant and all.

[–]randyrectem 8 points9 points ago

I wasn't an elephant when I had my first bath, but I remember it as an elephant.

I wanted this to be a link to a picture of an elephant holding a phone to his ear. With his trunk.

[–]Hellothereawesome 4 points5 points ago

They enjoy the water so much, wish I could learn from them.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

Super awesome elephant pool party.

[–]Lots42 2 points3 points ago

For a second I was worried about some elephants drowning but then I realized I was dumb.

[–]tactical_edit 2 points3 points ago

[–]glass_canon 1 point2 points ago

Literal happiness uncontainable.

[–]hotsizzlepancakes 4 points5 points ago

I could wash this all day.

FTFY

[–]Rashnet 3 points4 points ago

Seems sad to me. Looks like the one outside is worried about the one in the pool, the one in the pool is stuck and the big one in the background is stamping it's feet. Then to top it off the little guy falls in.

[–]Mikeydactyl 7 points8 points ago

Nah, they're taking a bath. Elephants aren't completely helpless if they're turned on their sides and the other one was just being derpy and wanted to take a bath too. Probably not the best decision from it though...

[–]rowuco 7 points8 points ago

Elephants aren't completely helpless if they're turned on their sides

Unlike fat kids.

[–]Chiii 1 point2 points ago

So sad.

[–]usfifteen -1 points0 points ago

They look so happy. But I can't help feel a bit sad; they should be doing that in the wilderness.

[–]Lots42 8 points9 points ago

Maybe it's a zoo. Maybe they are orphans. Sheesh

[–]Sub-cidal 2 points3 points ago

I'd agree if that didn't mean they probably wouldn't live much longer than the first time they're spotted by a poacher.

[–]DefinitelyRelephant 6 points7 points ago

In the wilderness they'd be poached for their tusks. In that zoo they're properly cared for.

[–]iClarion -1 points0 points ago

Yeah for sure. It's not like they need hundreds of square miles of territory or anything.

[–]DefinitelyRelephant 0 points1 point ago

They absolutely do; and once we find a way to eliminate poaching I'm all for releasing them back into their habitat.

Until then, though, if we don't do something to protect them they're going to die out.

[–]iClarion 0 points1 point ago

You can't just release them back into the wild once their culture is destroyed.

[–]tboner6969 -1 points0 points ago

ahh, leave it to the denizens of reddit to rationalize and prefer a safe, sheltered existence in captivity for a wild animal instead of considering the inherent risk in it living in the wilderness.

[–]DefinitelyRelephant 0 points1 point ago

I don't at all think that captivity is ideal.

If I had it my way, poachers would be sentenced to summary execution and their remains dragged through the streets for all to see.

But that's not how it works. Right now, these creatures are practically being driven to extinction by poaching and properly caring for them in a sanctuary or zoo is probably the only thing that will even keep their species going.

[–]tboner6969 0 points1 point ago

just so I am understanding this correctly, you would punish barbarism towards animals with more barbarism, but this time directed towards humans? this is what you propose? i just want to make sure i am understanding you correctly.

[–]DefinitelyRelephant 0 points1 point ago

Yes. Public brutality is remarkably effective at dissuading others from repeating the crime.

[–]tboner6969 0 points1 point ago

uh oh! next up: DefinitelyRelephant tries to convince tboner6969 that bombing abortion clinics is a justifiable method to stop those murderous doctors who perform abortions! and firebombing meat and lumber processing plants is ok if you do it to prevent the harm of animals!

[–]DefinitelyRelephant 0 points1 point ago

Nice try.

  • abortion clinics - not committing a crime, they're providing health services

  • Meat and lumber processing plants - unethical in some cases but better addressed through the application of regulations.

Poachers do not give a fuck about the law, so regulations will not stop them.

[–]tboner6969 0 points1 point ago

double nice try! I got you exactly where I wanted you to go, see:

Public brutality

thankfully this is also not legal, and has no place in most developed country's toolkits for punishing crimes.

[–]DefinitelyRelephant 0 points1 point ago

There are some people for whom the rule of law and the soundness of reason are not enough to keep them from committing atrocities.

These people only respect one thing - fear.

If you don't make them fear the consequences of willingly committing their crimes, they will continue to do so.

Dancing elephant

I wish I could upvote this more!

[–]NameNick 0 points1 point ago

[–]duffer77 0 points1 point ago

I was watching this listening to High Voltage rock n roll by ACDC. Brilliant!

[–]Jared8675309 0 points1 point ago

You need a hobby then.

[–]kaytw0 0 points1 point ago

looks like the elephant outside the bars want to join in

[–]SoggyCheez 0 points1 point ago

I didn't know that so much entertainment could fit in a single kiddy pool.

[–]notavalidusername 0 points1 point ago

I couldn't.

[–]cbearski 0 points1 point ago

This made my morning! I am in love.

[–]FrostByt 0 points1 point ago

Who is on the side pissing on the baby elephants? They really look to be enjoying it.

[–]lurkingmuffin 0 points1 point ago

"Evolution has not prepared me for this!"

[–]Shruglife 0 points1 point ago

Somebody throw some yakkity sax on this bitch.. I could do it, but thats a daunting amount of work.

[–]bigtreeworld 0 points1 point ago

Squeeeee! So cute!

[–]quandoomniflunkus 0 points1 point ago

Now this is Water for Elephants that I can stand.

[–]smilingonion 0 points1 point ago

When I was a kid I got to ride a baby elephant...you know how you ride a baby elephant?

VERY carefully...his Mom was right next to us and her trunk was checking me out...I was aware if the little guy wanted me off I'd find myself 50 feet away before I could blink

[–]All-American-Bot 2 points3 points ago

(For our friends outside the USA... 50 feet -> 15.2 m) - Yeehaw!

[–]smilingonion 1 point2 points ago

I used feet for a reason

Ever see the TV show So You Think You're Smarter Than 5th grader?

They had a question where they asked "How many feet in a yard?"

I thought who in the world couldn't know this but the person on TV got it wrong...I was shocked so the next day at work I asked some co-workers the same question

One person said 34 feet which was bad enough but by far the worst was a guy who had TWO masters degrees(one in computer science) who replied that a yard was 30 inches and a meter was 36 inches...he honestly believed this to be true

Since then I try to keep things simple...saves time explaining things

[–]Skilol 0 points1 point ago

Cute isn't it? Until they grow up and become giant, man-eating monsters!

[–]lactosetollerant 0 points1 point ago

hahaha this is awesome

[–]MarySwanson 0 points1 point ago

While watching, I narrated their made up voices in my head, going "This is the best! This is the best!"

[–]iPeeLavaLampGoo 0 points1 point ago

Let's play submarine!

HARD TO STARBOARD! INCOMING TORPED- BOOOOOOOOM!!!!! AHHHHHH! . . . we're dying now. Fall in. AHHHHHH!!!

[–]Elquinis 0 points1 point ago

[–]ojolejano 0 points1 point ago

This is not funny, it's sad that this 2 young elephants, that should be in nature with big freaking lakes to swim and play around with their family have to content with a lousy plastic piece of shit with a garden hose.

sad as fuck.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

They're so drunk

[–]darksober 0 points1 point ago

Two elephants, 1 Tub.

[–]trance_addict -1 points0 points ago

i like this, but it belongs in /r/aww

[–]BillEvansAtMariposa 0 points1 point ago

Well, shoot, man. It belongs in both places.

[–]pineapplecubes -1 points0 points ago

You pervert.

[–]SuicydKing -1 points0 points ago

Santorum endorses Romney, film at 11.

[–]LeSlava -4 points-3 points ago

I find this really horrible. All i see is the poor elephants' desperation to get out of the pool.

[–]DefinitelyRelephant 4 points5 points ago

You find it horrible because you're misinterpreting what's going on.

The baby elephant on the right is rolling around basking in mud - elephants do this in the wild because the mud prevents skin infections from developing, helps ward off pest insects, and keeps them cool in the hot sun. Most hairless mammals do something similar - pigs, for example.

The baby elephant outside the pool is pacing around it trying to find a way to get in. Eventually it just gives up and flops in.

The adult elephant outside the enclosure is excited, but we can't tell if it's a GOOD excited (because the babies are having fun) or a bad excited (because she's physically separated from them and doesn't trust the human).

[–]Lots42 2 points3 points ago

OH NO IT'S GONNA DROWN.

Wait, no.

[–]captainolimar 2 points3 points ago

Elephants like water. Baby elephants like to play. It's baby elephant bath time. I think they're alright.

[–]ShredDurst -2 points-1 points ago

So then one says to the other, pass the soap!

[–]t0rsk -2 points-1 points ago

This .gif made me hungry. Anyone ever tasted elephant?

[–]SpaizKadett -5 points-4 points ago

You don't have much of a life then I guess
