It's true, one rarely ever sees this sort of thing. This non-gif you speak of actually used to be called a picture.

[–]1stLtObvious 5 points6 points ago

Shouldn't this be in /r/non-gifs?

[–]Butch_Magnus 90 points91 points ago

Reminds me of these photos of an Australian ex-Prime Minister.

[–]shutup_shinji 24 points25 points ago

Uses the word 'cunt'? Verified as Australian

[–]coup 7 points8 points ago

How is this a thing now?!

Ok, never mind... from Wikipedia:

Australians have a habit of pairing the word with another to give a more specific meaning such as "cunt-rash" (literally, a visible disorder of the female genitalia; normally a general insult). The phrase "sick cunt" or "mad cunt" is sometimes used as a compliment by such sub-groups as surfers or the metal/hardcore music scene, although the term originated within immigrant groups who combined their use of the term "sick" with what they saw as a typically Aussie expletive.

[–]deluded_sloth 6 points7 points ago

I was born and raised in Oz and can honestly say its a word that isn't used in my family or social circle at all. It's seen as shocking and pretty obscene by standard folk I imagine and is more likely to be used by the shock-jockeys and aussie's who are just trying too hard...

[–]fhamersley 4 points5 points ago

Born and raised Aussie. Middle/High Class family. Never swear in the house. I say cunt all the time as do all my friends. We arnt sick cunts or anything but we say it all the time.

[–]strills 11 points12 points ago

Nah you don't say it around yor family but around your friends, you say it every sentence, cunt.

[–]deluded_sloth 0 points1 point ago*

Thanks for speaking for me, I guess I was just confused and don't know my own mind...

EDIT: guess I shouldn't be surprised that the votes are going this way. Curse my mild, inoffensive vocabulary. Stay classy reddit.

[–]LazyBrains 4 points5 points ago

That's right, cunt. ಠ_ಠ

[–]Osmodius 1 point2 points ago

I disagree. Majority of my friends say cunt without batting an eye lid. We're all perfectly normal citizens, jobs, passed year 12, going to uni etc.

[–]deluded_sloth 1 point2 points ago

That's ok, I'm just saying it's not uniform across the board. It obviously is normal for some folk or it wouldn't be all over the net.

[–]STOPMAKNTHATJOKE 2 points3 points ago

why does reddit insist on making the same jokes day in and day out?

"hahhaha i spit juice all over my monitor!!!"

"he said cunt, verified australian ROFLMAO!!!!"

"RAMPART! LOL!"

YOU ARE DESTROYING THIS SITE, ALONG WITH THE IDIOTS THAT UPVOTED YOU

[–]shutup_shinji 4 points5 points ago

Oh, woops, that was another generic answer.

Uh, because imaginary internet po- crap, did it again. I just can't escape the process, sorry

[–]toothpickhoarder 63 points64 points ago

i think you mean gif-with-sound

[–]eventual_chuckT 0 points1 point ago

And from this day forward we describe everything within the context of gif's. On a safari and saw a giraffe? Wrong! What you have just witnessed ladies and gentlemen was a gif with an extra r-a-f-e. Jk, It was just Chuck Testa...

[–]HopeGrenade[S] -2 points-1 points ago

This is forever what I'm going to call videos.

[–]Xinlitik 12 points13 points ago

Mr. President got shot down by a little girl on tv ;)

Obama: Do you want to come up and sit with us?

Girl: ...

Obama: Okay, so...

[–]MaeveningErnsmau 7 points8 points ago

Well, in fairness, she was towed away by a caretaker.

[–]Breadfaux 6 points7 points ago

That was actually Big O's secret service. That little girl was making an attempt on the lives of the presidential family. She will spend the next 40 years of her life in Guantanamo bay.

[–]whatisthishere 0 points1 point ago

Obama's 13 yr old daughter looked as tall as him when they stood up.

[–]PHALLUS_OF_MALICE 188 points189 points ago

I've never been given a valid reason to dislike Barack Obama. All around, he's a really awesome guy.

[–]stillnotking 95 points96 points ago

What's a few Predator drones, indefinite detentions, illegal assassinations, and whistleblower prosecutions between friends?

[–]Endemoniada 129 points130 points ago

He's not perfect, but compared to Bush? He killed Bin Laden, overturned DADT, reformed health care, pushed the economy back in the right direction and is generally trying to get the country out of its two wars and back on its feet.

There's a fuckload of legacy he has to deal with. Bush managed to fuck a lot of shit up in his 8 years, and way too many people are still convinced he did a great job, while Obama is the antichrist.

I fully support all the very valid criticisms of Obama's first term, but I also try to put them into context. The US changed for the worse overnight in 2001, and it's going to take decades upon decades for that to change back again. That's unfortunately how it goes. Progress is eternally going uphill.

Honestly, I'm impressed with everything he has managed to achieve, given the overwhelming opposition he has had to fight.

[–]firstpageguy 12 points13 points ago

Addressing the "fuckload" of legacy, as you put it, is actually where Obama fails the most.

When it comes to issues such as predator strikes, indefinite detentions, warrantless wiretapping, whistle blower prosecution, and keeping the DoJ off of the financial industry Bush started the fire, Obama solidified it into a non-partisan precedent.

Sure, he's done some OK things, more OK things than Bush..

But it's the worst of the worst Bush era precedents that he's cemented (and some he's expanded, such as assassinating US citizens abroad, unconfirmed target drone strikes) where he's failed horribly.

[–]Endemoniada 1 point2 points ago

I agree wholeheartedly. I haven't forgotten about Bradley Manning, and the US inspired the wiretapping going on here in Sweden right now as well. Trust me, I'm not happy about it, but since Clinton, Obama is still one of the few good things to happen to the US.

Also, finally speaking up for the LGBT community? Fuck yeah. That was a looong time coming, and a US presidency first.

We're not forgetting his problems and issues, but that doesn't mean we can't be glad for his accomplishments and his eagerness to move forward.

[–]firstpageguy 1 point2 points ago

Well I suppose everyone makes their own judgement call. It's tough to weigh everything he's done over the years. I suppose I'm more cynical since I don't value his talk, only his actions.

For instance, he recently said he would veto the NDAA, an act which would grant the ability to indefinitely detain US citizens. This is the most plainly unconstitutional act to be past by congress in recent memory. He signed it.

On LGBT rights, he promised many things during the campaign, but reneged on them for years. He mainted the DoJ's position on DOMA, and allowed congress to repeal DADT without a fight. It's was only after constant unceasing lobbying from the LGBT community that he started doing what he said he would. Without that unceasing pressure he would have been fine with the status quo. The more recent talk on gay marriage from Biden is merely campaign talk. I've learned to dismiss his administration's talk, doubly so during campaigns.

[–]rizer_ 1 point2 points ago

You have to wonder how much of this stuff is puppeteering and really isn't within his control. Obama seems like a really nice guy, but let's be honest.. Congress, lobbiests and other parties will always get what they want, it doesn't matter who the president is. He's just there to be a face for the country, that's all.

[–]firstpageguy 0 points1 point ago

Well that's one way to look at it. I think of the presidency as a full third of the federal goverment, the Executive branch. It's charged with many functions, but it's essentially the leadership of the federal government.

The style in which the president leads has significant impact on congress. Obama's signature style I would classify as being very supportive of the status quo, while maintaining the appearance of reasonable reformer. Bush on the other hand, while being a complete screw up, was a fighter. He got congress to go along with his positions more often than not, simply through sheer stubbornness. Clinton was somewhat of a split between the two, while being a little more hands on, and far more passionate and intelligent than both men.

It matters immensely who the president is. The effects of their decisions literally change the world, and have impacts that can last far beyond their stint in office.

[–]stellarfury 1 point2 points ago

As far as NDAA goes, Congress kinda forced his hand. It was basically "pass this bill or else you'll defund the military and we will fucking destroy you for being soft on terror in the coming election."

[–]firstpageguy -1 points0 points ago

The point is, that he says one thing, and does nothing about it quite often. This is a perfect example. If he made his case to the public, fought for it, actually....expended political capital (NO!!!!) then things may change.

We may still have the right to not be indefinitely detained in America. Whoda thunkit?

Instead he says stuff, stuff that I take as a grain of salt due to his actions.

[–]stellarfury 1 point2 points ago

If he made his case to the public, fought for it, actually....expended political capital (NO!!!!) then things may change.

Both houses passed the bill with supermajorities (i.e. the number of votes required to override a veto). Any political capital Obama could have expended to veto and subsequently fight against its passage would be futile. This is likely why he simply made a statement that the administration will not enforce Section 1022, because he knew if he took stronger action, it would cost him political capital for virtually no tangible gain.

[–]firstpageguy -1 points0 points ago

Turns out when you don't fight, you lose. And to top it off he signed it anyway. Great job?

[–]marioIsDead 4 points5 points ago

How is he reforming American health care anyway? I don't know exactly how it works over there, but don't you have too pay for medical treatment? Has he changed it now?

[–]kvachon 11 points12 points ago

One major thing that was done was that an insurance company can not turn you away for having a "pre-existing condition" which could be anything from Lung Cancer due to smoking to Asthma in an infant.

[–]facestab 1 point2 points ago

except insurance companies can still do it. When does that come into effect? oh yeah 2014 ...

[–]kvachon 1 point2 points ago

better than never.

[–]Kitsuiko 0 points1 point ago

I want to examine that argument used in a different situation:

"Mom is getting you something you really need for your birthday!"

"Yeah, well, whatever. My birthday isn't now."

[–]thatoneguy889 4 points5 points ago

Most notably coverage regardless of any pre-existing conditions, coverage under a parent's health insurance plan until age 26, and you no longer have to be a full-time student to retain coverage under a parent's health insurance plan.

[–]Endemoniada 1 point2 points ago

I'm not an American either, but what he's doing is trying to shift the responsibility back over on the insurance companies. Previously, people had to pay serious money to get pretty much any health care at all, and the insurance companies could still drop you for absolutely nothing, leaving you stranded and, quite possibly, dying. Obama has worked hard to introduce requirements on these companies that they have to cover certain groups of people. Of course, they also still have to pay, but now instead of paying for potentially nothing, they are slightly more guaranteed to actually receive help and treatment.

That's how I understand it anyway. It's still miles and miles away from the socialized health care I enjoy here in Sweden, and trust me, all of us laugh heartily whenever Americans call Obama a "socialist" because they have absolutely no idea what that word even means :)

[–]stillnotking 3 points4 points ago

You know, if you want to vote for the guy as the lesser evil in spite of all he's done, then that's fine. I personally disagree but I can see where you're coming from.

What pisses me off are people like PHALLUS_OF_MALICE who literally ignore Obama's record because they get all warm and gooey at pictures of PR events. Vote for him if you must, but the fanboy cult of personality thing has gotta stop. It was fucked up when the right did it to Bush too. Remember "Mission Accomplished" and landing on the aircraft carrier? Chris Matthews getting a tingle up his leg? Yeah, it's just as unappealing when your side does it.

[–]Endemoniada 1 point2 points ago

Couldn't agree more. But you still won't hear me complaining when the guy who does good is actually a funny, smart person as well, nor will I refuse to comment on the fact that the guy who almost ruined the country seems like a cowardly, spineless weasel. It's my opinion, and my right to have that opinion. Presidents aren't empty vessels, they are people. Personality does matter, whether you like it or not.

[–]awe300 44 points45 points ago

Still better than a republican alternative.

Obama has a few black marks

A republican president with a republican congress?

Jesus fuck

[–]Traner 16 points17 points ago

black marks

thats racist

[–]JimmyDThing -4 points-3 points ago

I'm sorry but I'm really tired of the flawed thinking of voting AGAINST something rather than FOR something. If he's not good, the fact that the alternative was worse doesn't make him better. We should all be expecting a lot more.

[–]SlickMacy 16 points17 points ago

There's only two choices, when that changes maybe you'll have an argument.

The fact that the alternative is worse doesn't make him better

google define: worse

[–]JimmyDThing 0 points1 point ago

Sorry. I'll rephrase. The fact that the alternative is worse doesn't somehow make up for all the things he's done wrong.

Why do we accept that there are only two choices?

[–]SlickMacy 4 points5 points ago

Why do we accept that there are only two choices?

How do you propose we create a third, because we have definitely tried not voting before. In fact we try that every time.

[–]JimmyDThing 3 points4 points ago

The problem is people are too content. If people realized how screwed up the system was, they would give a shit. The problem is the system is designed to keep people complacent while all the back alley shit is going on. It's so well made that we even find OUT about the shit and somehow get ourselves to believe that the government cares/is trying to fix it when in reality they are just another part of the same problem.

Get people to see the flaws and understand how bad it is and CARE about it and change WILL happen.

[–]quickhorn 4 points5 points ago

I completely agree with all of your points. I also feel that Obama has black marks on his record, but they're ones I'm willing to accept at the moment. I consider these acceptable only in relation to our time and environment. What I mean by that, is I understand why, even though I think the actions are horrible.

It's like watching a TV show, where your favorite character ends up cheating on his wife. Sure, they hadn't had sex in a year, and their relationship was going down. So I can understand why, but I still think it sucks.

[–]JimmyDThing 2 points3 points ago

See this is exactly what I'm talking about. You are accepting these awful conditions as actually viable reasons for the horrible acts that result from the condition. You are complacent with the system the way it is and actually believe it will sort itself out.

Governments do not get smaller... they ONLY get bigger. Maybe they have gotten intermittently smaller, but in the grand scheme of things they ONLY get bigger. Ours is too big. Just like Rome's became too big. We're in wars that have nothing to do with us, our middle class is disappearing... the current western world is going to collapse. We need to stop throwing more money at it trying to get another couple years out of it because it's just making the already difficult time ahead of us more difficult. We're trying to push our problems off on yet another generation (like how our parents and grandparents did to us)... it's gotta stop.

We need to stop throwing money at something that cannot be fixed. Let it collapse. Let us regroup and pay off our debts and deal with the pain now before we cause it to get any worse. Let's start thinking about how we rebuild instead of how we maintain the unsustainable.

[–]SlickMacy 1 point2 points ago

People do see the flaws and they do care. Like you said we even find out about some of the shady shit our gov't does. The problem is that there is no recourse for the populace other than voting or rioting. And rioting in America almost never solves anything.

[–]shitterplug 0 points1 point ago

Lesser of two evils... it's just the way things work.

[–]JimmyDThing 0 points1 point ago

It doesn't have to.

[–]shitterplug 1 point2 points ago

No, but it is, and it's not changing any time soon.

[–]JimmyDThing 0 points1 point ago

So until then, we'll just continue selling our children's futures.

[–]shitterplug 1 point2 points ago

At least until the baby boomers die off.

[–]MaeveningErnsmau 11 points12 points ago

What is a "whistleblower prosecution between friends"?

That said, he's been spending what political capital he has with Congress on the stimulus and health care, and finally got troops out of Iraq. I'm a pragmatist, but I don't know that he could do much more under the circumstances.

[–]jeremythelee 7 points8 points ago

Everyone wants him to erase the debt, lower taxes, employ everyone, and give free money.

[–]SlickMacy 2 points3 points ago

I don't think anyone expects him to erase the debt. I hope he can bring the budget deficit down though, and he's trying. That's why he wants to raise the highest tax rate (and only the highest and this only applies to the money you make above the ceiling of the bracket) by 3%

[–]jeremythelee 2 points3 points ago

What I was getting at is the general consensus of what he should do. Unfortunately the majority of this country doesn't have a clue about politics or how it works. So they demand the impossible and when it doesn't happen they blame the person who has the least control over all of it.

[–]ArecBardwin 0 points1 point ago

he's been spending what political capital he has with Congress

Reread what stillnotking wrote. Those are all things that the president does without having to go through Congress.

[–]MaeveningErnsmau 0 points1 point ago

I know what he wrote. Now imagine if the Obama administration did all of the above and how much ammunition that would have given the GOP, who perceive nonaggressive foreign policy as "weak". He'd spend his entire term trying to claw his way back (which he ended up doing in any event, intransigence being a new quality for an elephant).

[–]ArecBardwin 0 points1 point ago

So you are telling me that if the president quit using predator drones and indefinite detentions, some of the 0 Republicans that support Obama might stop supporting him?

[–]MaeveningErnsmau 0 points1 point ago

I already addressed this. No.

But what it did do is to maintain a good relationship with the military-industrial-intelligence complex, for what that's worth. He's had the same group of military/intelligence advisers for his whole tenure (Panetta, Petraus, Gates, McHugh, Donley, Mabus, Alexander, Napolitano etc.). It says something for maintaining a good working relationship with his administration (or just pandering, if that's how you view it).

[–]Azrael_Ferrum -1 points0 points ago

He meant what is a [substantial amount of bad things] between friends?

[–]BleuMoo 3 points4 points ago

Lol "Illegal assassinations". Anyways, Anwar Awlaki was a wanted al-qaeda operative, who was wanted DEAD OR ALIVE by Yemen. That's why he was assassinated, with a predator missile, even though he was an american citizen. The predator drones in LIBYA were wanted by NATO against Ghaddafi's forces. Yeah, Obama has done some stuff wrong, but overall, he's a damn good president and an intelligent man. It's our congress that's completely dysfunctional. And the constituency.

[–]Primal80s 7 points8 points ago

Unfortunately I have to agree. Whenever I see Obama now, I see a man willing to give the greenlight to unnecessary drone-strikes that kill innocent men, women and children. "Regrettable" casualties.

Prepared for the down-vote drone-strike :(

[–]Vilvos 11 points12 points ago

I meant to downvote you, but I accidentally took out a group of kittens in r/aww. Regrettable casualties.

[–]smokinJoeCalculus 2 points3 points ago

Consequences of War. It's sad, but true.

War is Hell, and he inherited two of them. I believe he's done an outstanding job in essentially ending one and at least limiting American Casualties in the other.

[–]vph 2 points3 points ago

The drones are supposed to kill terrorists. Yes, there are innocent lives being taken too, but that's not intended and unfortunate. What would be the alternatives for these "unnecessary" drone strikes?

[–]Primal80s 0 points1 point ago

Me shunting another person's car at a red light is "not intended and unfortunate".

"Abominable" and "unforgivable" are words I would use for taking the lives of innocent human beings with no warning. People with mothers and fathers awaiting a visit perhaps from their cherished child. People with hopes, dreams and fears of their own. People with bills to pay or letters to send. Regular, innocent citizens blown to pieces because of some foreign power's "whoopsie" while hunting some nebulous and vague terrorist force in the mountains.

What would be the alternatives for these "unnecessary" drone strikes?

I don't know. The issue of wrangling in these terrorists, whoever they are supposed to be and whatever they are supposedly up to, is hideously complex. However, just like it doesn't take a mechanic to know a car missing it's wheels is a useless car, it is my personal opinion that is that throwing billions of dollars at a drone program that seems to kill and maim innocents indiscriminately and anonymously is definitely not an answer to "terrorism".

[–]other_one 0 points1 point ago

C'mon, we all have some character flaws to deal with. Some of us get drunk on weekends. Others eat candy when they're sad. The little white lies when she asks you if that makes her look fat. Bit of drone murdering out of war zones without legal process. Just makes him more human!

[–]Wrym -1 points0 points ago

But in this instance he's going strictly ... by the book.

[–]photoddgrapher 0 points1 point ago

Don't forget, non-confirmed unaccountable czars, illegally taking over industry, more debt spending in 4 years than the country has spent in 200. Destroying the healthcare system, killing jobs and businesses, and continually and in some cases illegally skirting congress. Not to mention loans to Dem donors that have stakes in failed green companies. More money wasted on than then funds given to 32 states for highway and bridge repair. ... Nah theres way too much here to come between friends. :)

[–]science_diction 0 points1 point ago

When nations are run by people who want to preserve such silly things as perfect honor and absolute principle, they typically tend to be conquered or overthrown by people who don't operate on honor or principle at all.

[–]gen3ricD 26 points27 points ago

All around, he has a really great PR team.

[–]The_Adventurist 42 points43 points ago

Meh. I think he's got that extra "it" that makes people like him and relate to him. His PR team just gets those moments out there more for people to see.

Take Mitt Romney, he's been running for president for years now and not once has he ever appeared to be a human being. He's had many skilled PR people working with him and not once has he done something endearing, if anything, he naturally turns people off. He just doesn't have it.

[–]MaeveningErnsmau 0 points1 point ago

Not great enough to overcome the corporatist media, leading the fears that if we tax the wealthy they'll all move to Ireland or some such nonsense.

[–]gen3ricD 0 points1 point ago

The corporatist media backed most of his election funding last time and is doing so again this time. Keep in mind that Congress, not the president, says who or what gets taxed and at what rate.

It's political theater. Entertaining and fairly effective at distracting from those who actually have power.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points ago

Bush did the same thing...

[–]bluest_steel 1 point2 points ago

I've seen the second or third photo on some FB 'conservative' fan page - presumably to portray Obama as an idiot. The same page has Reagan looking avuncular and statesmanlike, but not the one with a monkey...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

If we take out his presidency and political standpoints, I am pretty sure 99% of the population would love Obama.

[–]o0DrWurm0o 0 points1 point ago

That's true. He's not a perfect president, but he's one charismatic character.

[–]indecisive311 0 points1 point ago

I know right. Like that little girl that spilled yogurt on him, and he laughs it off and says, hey now you have a great story to tell people, you spilled yogurt on the president. Man has the best character in a president in a long time.

[–]norbster 1 point2 points ago

He hasn't a progressive bone in his body. How much shit did liberals give conservatives for saying that GWB seemed like a fun drinking buddy? At least he shared their politics. What's so "awesome" about Obama? That he seems personable? That's a substitute for politics?

[–]pandemic1444 2 points3 points ago

I'll refer you to the fact that the economy is growing again. I don't expect to be 100% satisfied with any president.

How I Met Your Mother, actually. The penis in question was a model of a building the man in the gif was commissioning from an architect from Walter White, or something.

[–]Richard_Jae 0 points1 point ago

I can't believe that this has been here for 4 hours and no one has given the obligatory responce.

[–]Mozzy 9 points10 points ago

"Moose knuckle" or "fruit bowl". Take your pick.

[–]Harlo 2 points3 points ago

Joe Camel toe.

[–]yourmovecreep 1 point2 points ago

Lift and separate.

[–]tumadre124 1 point2 points ago

I refer to it as the mammal toe.

[–]WrethZ 2 points3 points ago

But camels are mammals.

[–]tumadre124 2 points3 points ago

Now you went and ruined my life.

[–]arcsesh 1 point2 points ago

As Ali G told Victoria Beckham...camel hoof.

[–]Mr_Smartypants 1 point2 points ago

The First Package.

[–]2times 8 points9 points ago

3rd one looks like he accidentally sharted.

[–]BURN_THE_WITCH 18 points19 points ago

AS OPPOSED TO PURPOSEFUL SHARTS.

[–]Coloneljesus 1 point2 points ago

Is your username a reference to a certain song title? Because if so: Fuck Yeah!

[–]BURN_THE_WITCH 0 points1 point ago

It's actually not, but thanks for making me Google it! I haven't listened to Queens of the Stone Age since I was in fourth grade and they had that video that was always on VH1.

[–]Coloneljesus 1 point2 points ago

There are better songs than No One Knows...

[–]BURN_THE_WITCH 0 points1 point ago

Looks like I have a lot to ponder...

[–]Coloneljesus 1 point2 points ago

Listen to the albums "Lullabies to Paralyze" and "Rated R".

[–]BURN_THE_WITCH 1 point2 points ago

Already set sail, thanks man!

I hope everyone reads my name hearing that line.

[–]Coloneljesus 1 point2 points ago

welcome aboard.

[–]2times 1 point2 points ago

You ...may be on to something.

[–]Cadaverlanche 2 points3 points ago

And the Fox Nation website just got all of it's Obama headline pictures for the coming year in one sitting.

[–]MitchLux 2 points3 points ago

If you only look at the top half of each picture, it looks like he is taking a really tricky poop.

[–]firefeng 2 points3 points ago

This is a cool image. I'm waiting for the inevitable captions about how he's screwed up in his presidency and forsaken his promises and also how he eats babies before I can really commit to liking it in earnest, though.

[–]john3160 2 points3 points ago

Why not just call it a JPEG?

[–]ninjames 0 points1 point ago

What if I want JPG?

[–]beggarinthesand 2 points3 points ago

This reminds me of Calvin getting his photo taken

[–]occasionally_horny 0 points1 point ago

THAT is what I was trying to think of. Thank you.

[–]partspace 2 points3 points ago

They roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws.

[–]Electroverted 2 points3 points ago

"Obama loses his cool during a tough interview about dwindling jobs and the economy" - Fox News

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

Forgetting he's even a politician, I just all round like him.

[–]Bonadoos 16 points17 points ago

If I was American I'd vote for that

[–]gen3ricD 13 points14 points ago

"I voted for Obama because he's handsome. And look, he even takes time to read to the children!"

This is why people argue against democracy.

[–]SlickMacy 2 points3 points ago

Every president takes time to read to children (shit some presidents would rather do that than deal with a terrorist attack) but how many play the characters?

I agree with your point but there is something more than just him being handsome, and reading to children in the picture.

[–]alien_signals -1 points0 points ago

LIES!

[–]smokinJoeCalculus 0 points1 point ago

You mean a Democratic Republic?

[–]gen3ricD 0 points1 point ago

I'm not only talking about the US system.

[–]smokinJoeCalculus 0 points1 point ago

Fair enough.

[–]BradInBlack 1 point2 points ago

3 is my favorite. Conspiracy Keanu face.

[–]pooky1 1 point2 points ago

the third image...... do with it what they did to yao ming... come on internet.

[–]arshem 1 point2 points ago

Proof Zombies do exist

[–]soyabstemio 1 point2 points ago

Upvoted for non-gif.

Tired of stupid gifs.

[–]balathustrius 1 point2 points ago

I am severely disappointed by the lack of photoshops.

[–]gamesindians 1 point2 points ago

TIL That our president can be derpy as hell.

[–]VictoryVino 1 point2 points ago

This is the correct way to read this book to a child.

[–]mnells 1 point2 points ago

I don't understand how you can look at this and still say he's a terrorist, or whateverthefuck your argument is.

[–]mouthpiecejet 1 point2 points ago

This would make the best facebook cover photo

[–]pdmcmahon 1 point2 points ago

President Obama

FTFY

[–]platypusmusic 1 point2 points ago

Guan-ta-na-mo

[–]_dustinm_ 1 point2 points ago

Since this seems to be turning into "yeah, but Obama X and every other president/potential president Y", I'll just leave these here:

pro - http://whatthefuckhasobamadonesofar.com/

con - http://whatinthefuckhasobamadonesofar.com/

[–]JWidmore 1 point2 points ago

This is how Republicans see him all the time.

[–]andrewarm 3 points4 points ago

Camel toe? The president is a woman. We must see the birth certificate.

[–]clutterbang 1 point2 points ago

Well, they rolled their terrible eyes, gnashed their terrible teeth, and showed their terrible claws, don'tcha know.

[–]avengepluto 1 point2 points ago

I'll eat you up.

[–]Clovyn 1 point2 points ago

Love this guy.

[–]MashedHair 0 points1 point ago

Whats the male version of a cameltoe?

[–]Red_AtNight 0 points1 point ago

Moose knuckle

[–]RocKiNRanen 0 points1 point ago

Doesn't that increase your conciseness in Obama.

[–]clickapedia 0 points1 point ago

"He was briefly the President of the Galaxy (a role that involves no power whatsoever, and merely requires the incumbent to attract attention so no one wonders who's really in charge, a role for which Zaphod was perfectly suited)"

From the wikipedia for hitchiker's guide to the galaxy, slightly relevant.

[–]deluded_sloth 0 points1 point ago

It's actually borderline impossible to read 'Where the Wild Thing are" without making those expressions.

[–]nbshark 0 points1 point ago

I felt like I just read a rage comic :|

[–]the_timmer_42 0 points1 point ago

Anyone else think he looks a little like James Franco in the 3rd frame?

[–]supersonic3974 0 points1 point ago

I'm not an Obama supporter at all, but this is awesome!

[–]Artem_C 0 points1 point ago

3rd one is just begging for a heroin injection-photoshop.

[–]wildcarde815 0 points1 point ago

In or Out of context this picture is amazing.

[–]MadScientista 0 points1 point ago

The third one is my favorite!

[–]Punchabearinnamouf 0 points1 point ago

I reeeeeally feel like his face in the third panel should be a rage face.

[–]stickysox 0 points1 point ago

I hope third frame becomes a new thing.

[–]ContiGhostwood 0 points1 point ago

This picture may end up on the fox news site with the headline "Obama declares war on kid's literature".

[–]Raazze 0 points1 point ago

he's so cute

[–]photoddgrapher 0 points1 point ago

Check his pant's. I think he took a shit.

[–]lehmongeloh 0 points1 point ago

Aw, I really like how he's into reading that book down to making the faces (and probably the different voices too). Even if you disagree about his politics, I still think he makes a wonderful father and good role model for his children.

[–]MifuneKinski 0 points1 point ago

Third picture is bona-fied classic

[–]BeauFoxworth 0 points1 point ago

Hubba hubba!

[–]super_hernandez 0 points1 point ago

[–]fubc 0 points1 point ago

So what? Didn't we already know Obama's a good storyteller? Along with every other politician.

[–]iFlungPu 0 points1 point ago

He's got my upvote this November!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Obama fuckin' rocks! I wish we had a leader like him in Canada

[–]Davepen 0 points1 point ago

I like Obama :) I'm not American, but I hope that he gets a second term.

[–]zuluthrone 0 points1 point ago

The model for American men: ivy league scholar, goofy and loving father, master of robot and seal team assassination.

[–]JJaysNotHome 0 points1 point ago

God I love Obama and I'm English, I want him to be my president too. Fuck David Cameron useless suit.

[–]Rainrave 0 points1 point ago

looks like he is eating the souls of his followers a.k.a his victims

[–]bucknakid14 0 points1 point ago

All I could stare at was his camel toe vagina.

[–]slowturtleboy 0 points1 point ago

he looks the same way as me when i jerk off

[–]WhatEvil 2 points3 points ago

[–]Bagginso -2 points-1 points ago

Is it weird at 21 years old to wish for story time with the President?

[–]suicidemachine -1 points0 points ago

The third pic needs to be photoshopped, quickly!
