I dunno . . . I rather think it's the fat people who need the stairs.

[–]Hobodog 1 point2 points ago

I guess they wouldn't want to waste the electricity needed to run the elevator.

Not WTF

(rather humorous, though)

Shouldn't it be the other way around.

Fuck fat people. Like i am embarrassed for us americans. I mean i understand if you are a little over weight, but i see such large people that i wonder how they let it get to that point.

i wonder how they let it get to that point.

One diet pepsi at a time.

[–]PoonaniiPirate 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, let me get a number five with a large fries, and an extra serving of gravy. Ohhh and with a 32oz DIET dr. pepper.

I worked for quite a while at a nice sushi bar and you know how people say that sushi is "healthy" and all that stuff. Well, one night, this fat couple walk in with their fat kid. All three sit at the bar and immediately order a diet coke each. Every single thing they ordered was deep fried. A large tempura vegetable appetizer. Deep-fried sushi maki (dragon's eyes, tigers eyes, etc.) for the main course. Deep fried apple/banana/pineable for desert. And fuck, when they were all stuffed, they started bragging about how healthy they ate compared to usual.

I have nothing against people being fat. But for fucks sake, what the fuck?

[–]PoonaniiPirate 0 points1 point ago

Hhhhahhah, for fucks sake is right. Sushi is by far my favorite food. However comma, i hear that its bad to eat it too much because it has iron or some other shit thats only good moderately. I may have no idea what i am talking about.

[–]eaddrinuse 0 points1 point ago

You probably mean mercury, not iron. Given that you usually need big fish to make nice filet (specifically tuna), you eat the fish with the highest mercury concentration. Basically, your body doesn't eliminate this mercury and it's bad for health in large quantities.

However, I've heard about a study that showed Japanese people have a low (relative) mercury level even with all the fish they eat. According to this study, drinking green tea during your meal helps prevent mercury absorption so it passes through. Since I can't remember where I read this and can't find it, you're free to take this hearsay as complete bull.

[–]PoonaniiPirate 0 points1 point ago

Yes, i dont know why i said iron. Thats interesting though, about the green tea. I love green tea.

Wow, I love how the first answer in this article is about subsidy and marketing. It could only be better if it mentioned contributing hereditary diseases and the disgusting societal downplay of basic essential cooking skills.

Thanks for doing your part with the fat shaming and all.

Awesome article, I'll be looking into this documentary.

Letting them know they are different is a good plan, maybe they will actually loose weight then.
