I seriously don't understand this. Reposts obviously succeed either because people haven't seen them yet, or because they are funny enough to see multiple times. People complaining about them must either be as stupid as this guy, honestly believe that they are the only people on here who matter, or just like to complain. PLUS it clearly says in the reddiquette that there's nothing wrong with reposts

All of those services provide media sequentially, once it's aired you cannot see it again until it is repeated. Stuff on reddit is always here, making a repost completely pointless. Just have a look through top if you want to get old posts.

Do people really think that people intentionally repost things? I mean, I'm sure some people do, but the majority of people just want to share something that they found, and it just so happens that it's already been posted. Reddit wasn't intended for "Original Content", it was intended to share things that you find interesting on the web.

You might want to read the titles of these reposts more closely then. Some are genuine, but some read as "I saw this in school the other day..." or the like, claiming the experience to be their own. Those people are really valuing the product of their deception through "karma".

Left the voting system and posts still received good and bag scores to promote or hide them or whatever by why not remove Comment an link karma stats since they're useless?
