THIS IS ANOTHER SCREENCAP FROM LANDOVER BAPTIST CHURCH, A SATIRE OF FUNDAMENTAL CHRISTIAN VALUES. WE CANNOT TAKE SATIRE, ASCRIBE IT TO BELIEVERS, AND THEN MOCK THEIR VALUES. IT'S FUCKING HYPOCRITICAL.

I DIDN'T MEAN TO TYPE IT ALL IN CAPS, BUT I DID.

[–]TerribleAtPuns 18 points19 points ago

I like the all caps. It matched my internal monologue

[–]Deako87 1 point2 points ago

Ohhhh... Thats why I was screaming it fast in my head...

[–]IggyWon 1 point2 points ago

Caps work. It makes things more dramatic. SEE WHAT I MEAN?! DOUBLE PUNCUATION WORK TOO!!!

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points ago

Try r/funny.....

[–]Zatoro25 4 points5 points ago*

Thanks, it's another image that I look sideways and think "uh, this can't be legit, no is this dumb, right?"

And thankfully, no, no one is this dumb. Lying about them is pretty underhanded though

EDIT: I get that there are a lot of satirical statements and images, but the best ones are those that skirt the line while still communicating the message. The fact that out of the ten people that commented under here, only one said he thought it was satire, shows the message was muddied

You are completely right. I have to learn the rules of reddit. This is only my first day of posting things, so live and learn.

[–]mtldude1967 2 points3 points ago

That'll do Whistlepig. That'll do.

[–]c0mrade_ethan 1 point2 points ago

Thank god I almost had a heart attack

[–]RickSHAW_Tom 1 point2 points ago

You could hit caps, but I prefer holding down shift. it makes me feel like I'm WRINGING THE PERSONS NECK WITH MY PINKY!

[–]Fliff42 1 point2 points ago

if this was real, I'd have to leave the planet

[–]fulanodoe 3 points4 points ago

I think it is mean to be a parody.

[–]Corrinth 2 points3 points ago

So in conclusion: drink seawater?

You first.

[–]fuzzymechy 2 points3 points ago

you know, there's a reason it's called a water CYCLE and not a water straight line to the annihilation of matter

[–]potemkinhr 1 point2 points ago

Damn those scientist with their fancy water cycles, peeing their water out and perspiring it with their sinful sweat. The true believer's water goes to heaven via prayer so the people there won't go thirsty, and they send us more water with rain. Aaargh, another circle!
Seems legit.

[–]Larsheg 2 points3 points ago

The fact that alot of people (including me) mistook it for a creationist argument just proves the point of how silly some of these arguments really are.

[–]SaysThatsARepost 2 points3 points ago

That's a repost.

[–]Brendoncherms 3 points4 points ago

I'm really embarrassed that I am the same species as the person who wrote this.

[–]SomeGamerKid 1 point2 points ago

and then we pee it out.

[–]Zeverand 1 point2 points ago

[–]jackmeoffagain 1 point2 points ago

lmfao

[–]WaffleSmoof 1 point2 points ago

ever herd of the water cycle?

[–]rockshell460 1 point2 points ago

You realize that there were less than 2 billion people at the turn of the ninetieth century and less then .5 billion at the turn of the fourteenth century. For what your saying to be true there would have had to been 7 billion people on earth since it was made. You are oviosly ignorant to how population works.

[–]SuperiorRAGE 1 point2 points ago

Umm, Guys...I think they left out the little something called the Water Cycle.. Also that the population of the world back then was substantially lower than it is today.

It's what they say!: If you try to use logic that God exists You're going to have a bad time!

[–]enchilada9 1 point2 points ago

You christians are so smart

[–]Ziggie1o1 1 point2 points ago

Another satirical post. I have no problem with satirical posts, but you should be more clear that it's satirical and not try to be a disingenuous little twat.

[–]voodoochild954 1 point2 points ago

this gave me a weird boner and an orgasm

[–]Punkrocker333 1 point2 points ago

Okay, I'm a theist, and I think that's a load of bullshit. The answer is evaporation and water purification/filtering.

[–]OceanSeagull 1 point2 points ago

Lol wut?

[–]Derp_Derpingston 1 point2 points ago

If this is a serious post, I feel sorry for you.

[–]Shayneros 1 point2 points ago

I totally forgot that when you drink water it's matter gets completely destroyed, I'm such an idiot!

[–]RadioActiveKitt3ns 3 points4 points ago

And the population has ALWAYS been around 6 or 7 billion, right?

[–]exmoslem 1 point2 points ago

Yes humans have existed for 3 billion years and drank salt water all that time /s

[–]IggyWon 1 point2 points ago

And once something is used, it disappears.

This image has been posted a few times before, and I'll say what I usually do when it pops up: Pretttty sure it's a poe.

[–]zeritic 1 point2 points ago

This makes my hunger for babies increase.

[–]legendofzeldaro 1 point2 points ago

Do they not realize that water doesn't really go anywhere? Even the water we drink technically comes back (Although with a lengthier, more scientific explanation). It is shit like this America that makes people laugh at us. This post reminded me of the post about the Grand Canyon.

[–]Guinlyone 0 points1 point ago

The smugness hurts.

[–]Brometheus92 0 points1 point ago

Lolwut watercycle

[–]ChokinMrElmo 0 points1 point ago*

Water cycle, population, etc etc.

I don't know why I'm saying it. We all know this. I really hope that "info" graphic was made as a parody.

EDIT: So glad it was satire. Faith in humanity = restored

[–]cgroza 0 points1 point ago

Apparently, this guy does not sweat or pee.
