Pretty funny but there are a lot of men out there that are into "sounding". This warning is probably due to the somewhat sharp point and also this is not made from surgical grade steel. If you don't know what it is and want more WTF, this<--NSFW, is an example of some dude sounding.

I'm using my throwaway here because I don't want to be tagged and followed by RES users, but I'm a male who's done sounding before. With proper lubrication and a properly designed object for insertion it actually feels really good. There's a lot of nerves on the inside of your dick, and it's a pretty interesting feeling to stimulate them. It's not painful in the least bit if done right. Though please if someone out there is reading this and thinks that they might want to try: make sure to do all your research on how to do it safely (PM me if you're looking for more info). You don't want to harm your junk by doing it wrong.

The first few times I did it I actually used one of those thin glowsticks used for bracelets/necklaces because I was a cheap college student who didn't want to drop the money on a proper toy until I had tried it once. (Not recommended by the way, I discovered later it wasn't perfectly smooth. Luckily no damage done). It wasn't bright enough to see it normally, but if I pulled back on the skin a little bit it'd glow through. It was neat but I'm not sure I'd risk using not-properly-designed toys ever again.

Err, what 2nd hand store are you getting yours from? I'm not saying they can't, but as someone who has used multitudes of glowsticks like this in my life I've only ever seen one break on it's own (that is short of biting/cutting it/otherwise violently and intentionally maiming the damned thing). And I assure you that such rough treatment was not going to be occurring inside my urethra.
