That's just a rumor. As far as we know, the Amazing Spiderman will be in its own universe and will have nothing to do with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (just like the X-Men movies). The Spiderman movie's rights are with Sony and not Marvel, like the others, so it's not that simple. However, there is a rumor going around about an agreement between Sony and Marvel about Spiderman's inclusion in the MCU.

I seriously hope he is not. Unlike DC, Marvel heroes aren't all part of a giant superhero army that lives in space. The Avengers are a highly respected team that works closely with the US government. Spiderman has a large portion of New York turned against him due to the media.

While it is true that members of the Avengers have encountered Spiderman, and he has even assisted them on occasion, Spiderman is not one of the heroes you are referring to when you mention the Avengers.

When someone says "The Avengers" you should be thinking: Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Ant Man, Wasp, Black Panther, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. Yes there are tons more heroes that have associated with the Avengers, but these are the core guys, especially the first four.

although this is true he does appear heavily throughout the comics for example here as seen in the top of the picture along with a few of the x-men im not saying your wrong im just saying that as the avengers movies progress could start seeing more superheros we didn't think we would like spiderman and the xmen rumors of the fantastic 4 are also out there just a thought no facts

Nope. Because Sony pictures owns legal rights to the Spiderman film franchise, Marvel Studios has no way of putting him in their movie without buying their rights back, which would be a huge loss since Sony is milking Spiderman for all he's worth. Same thing about Fantastic Four, who's owned by Fox, that's why you don't hear about the Skrull in the Avengers; it's copyrighted to the Fantastic Four and therefore owned by Fox.

Avengers is Marvel.

Avengers contains the Hulk which Spiderman has fought, Iron Man who Spiderman has fought alongside, Captain America who became friends with Spidey in Avenging Spiderman #5, Thor who spiderman helped out in Fear Itself, Hawkeye who spiderman teamed up with in the Avenging Spiderman #4, NEED I CONTINUE

In fact, there is even a story arc going on right now called AvX (Avengers vs Xmen) that is full Marvel. How is it in any way DC?

I find it kind of hilarious that upon hearing of someone's "extensive" knowledge of comics you immediately assume them to be one of the many losers populating comic book shops.

And i put the word extensive in quotations because i've actually only been following comics for the past month. The info i posted was collected from the past few weeks of comics (and a few back issues i picked up)
