Despite initial impressions, I prefer to imagine this fireman ran full speed at this home while on fire himself, and threw that board at the house during an enraged leap at the structure. I find this scenario unlikely, as I have never managed to extinguish a fire by throwing wooden beams at it, but it is something to consider.
