  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

Yes, with the original posted not 2 days ago. I'm seeing rude reposts like this one every day, isn't it mindblowing that people still upvote them?

Either Redditors are all ADHD patients or their memory span is something like one day or they have SO much real life that they browse once a week.

These are just my constructions though. Constructions that I devised to justify the fact that Redditors are just thick, like any other forum's users. My 2 cents, downvotes here we go.

Either Redditors are all ADHD patients or their memory span is something like one day or they have SO much real life that they browse once a week.

I typically only reddit when I'm getting paid for it (at work) so if something is posted on the weekend and then reposted during the work week - it's often new to me.

While I do think people should use the search to see if something has been posted before they make a "new" post - I don't see it as the viewers faults if they upvote something that has been previously posted and they were unaware of it. I also don't think people upvote reposts over and over again just to irk people like you. It was new to them and they enjoyed it, upvote.

The R2D2 shorts were cute; I personally hadn't seen the previous post; upvote.

Now don't get me wrong, reposts cannot be avoided, I know that. But reposts that appear on the next day? What is this? Facebook?

I really don't get why is everyone being all protective and nobody dovnvotes them. There simply is no way that 100% of the reposts are just innocent and unintentional, reposted by beautiful people who were unaware of the original post and did so after they came from a trip in Cairo.

They are reposts and should be downvoted, yet Reddit seems to either ignore this and upvote anything resembling a shiny object, or is genuinely thick with a memory span of 12 hours. Start downvoting those reposts please, seeing 2 exact same things on front page is degrading the quality of this site.

In the past 3 days on each day I've gone 18 pages deep into my subscriptions (slow work week so far) and I have never see this image. Checking /r/pics I went back 10 pages and still don't see the previous post.

There are 1.7 million subscribers to /r/pics. With a community that generally has the same interests the chances of a post getting buried and someone think something is pretty cool are pretty high.

Yes reposts are annoying, but really there are better things in the world to get on your high horse than reposts.

Whale oil beef hooked mate. All I browse is r/all, maximum of 10 pages deep, each working day, which imo is not an obsessive level of interest. Interestingly, I see reposts appear every single day. They get upvoted like crazy and noone seems to remember the original post, downvotes are non existent. I especially love how there is always someone who quotes rediquette as a reply to anyone who marks a repost. "Don't comment on reposts, just downvote" he puts in bold. And that's precisely what I'm talking about, that the "just downvote" part of rediquette is obviously being ignored. Reposts are not only not being downvoted, but they are literally being protected for whatever reason - just look at this comment thread. People make up ridiculous stuff to justify reposts. Sometimes I'm left standing in awe how ignorant and stubborn people are.

I know I'm ultimately going to change nothing by writing this, but I can't stop being baffled by how everybody throws rocks at my face anytime a discusion like this occurs. Every. Time. All my arguments are ignored and I get called a karma nut. Geez, it's like arguing with a kid.

You are correct. That is not hand painted. That was part of the Black Milk Clothing swimsuit line from a couple of years ago. Unfortunately it's no longer available.

As a side note, the lettering on her right cheek is in actual Aurebesh, the language on all the screens in the movies and translates to R2D2, of course. Though not on actual R2, it is rather impressive.
