I hear ya, sister. I'm educated and successful, but the second we finish eating at family get-togethers, I'm supposed to clear the table and wash the dishes by virtue of my gender. I've quit doing it, and started retiring to the living room to watch football with the guys instead. I've gotten a few dirty looks and pissy comments, but what are they gonna do? Hold a gun to my head until the dishes are washed? :D

Edit: It's not that I mind washing dishes or doing my part; it's the clearly defined gender roles that make me prickly and defiant.
