I remember reading about it on some kind of strange anomalies website. That particular pic was for some creature that wouldn't move as long as you looked at it, but if you turned your back or closed your eyes it got violent. I seem to also remember a story about an intricate mechanical device that would change things that you loaded into it.
Yeah, I know they're vague explanations, but I have a horrible memory. lol

SCP-173 (the sculpture) Class Euclid Containment Procedures: No more than 3 people can enter the container and must keep direct eye contact until you leave the container(or it'll snap your neck in half) Basically saying it is a statue(name stated above) that is animate and it can kill you if you don't look at it by strangling or neck snapping. It cannot move when you look at it. FYI there's a game based of it.

Well, I doubt 682 was terrified of him, Just cautious, It could easily create bioluminescent organs and Unblinking eyes to not stop watching him until he will come up with some kind of plan, like consuming him inside an organ with eyes on the inside of it. But that is besides the point, my point is, 682 Is intelligent and a terrible creature who if you anger him, Will fuck you up. 173 however is just a killer, He will just snap your neck and bah-bye. Also, 682 is pretty much invincible, So I wouldn't even want to be in the vicinity of that thing (As in the same facility)

Check out 682's termination experiment logs. It very clearly showed signs of panic when introduced to 173. True, 173 wasn't able to inflict any kind of fatal damage but the mere fact that 682 was that afraid gives me the impression that there's more to 173 than [REDACTED]

Yeah, I read the termination log Otherwise I wouldn't [REDACTED] I am just saying, He was as afraid of 173 as say a human would be of 173. 682 shows great resilience to everything, and seems to know how to manipulate multiple SCPs, As with SCP-017. Anyways, my point was entierly different, I am just saying that 682 is a lot fucking scarier than 173 because it is intelligent and wants to kill you.

Yeah, I see your point, but at least 682 can be temporarily neutralized, even if it does take huge resources but that's what D-Class personnel is for. There doesn't seem to be anyway to actually stop 173 if it gets loose unless you manage to get enough people together to maintain line of sight.

As I have suggested before, "It could easily create bioluminescent organs and Unblinking eyes to not stop watching him " I meant like a stomach scenario where 173 would be trapped in an organ slightly bigger than 173 and on the walls of that organ would be eyes that would constantly watch it, and in a way, incapacitate 173 until the foundation would find it necessary to retrieve the specimen.

It's just meant to be a collection of "Entries" into some sort of database about the anamolous objects such as what they do and how to contain them.

From what I can gather, there's sort of an expanded universe outside the entries about stuff like the articles interacting with each other, other groups and such.

I guess it's the sort of thing you read and get immersed into and want to know what the next one is and I don't really think there's a history you are required to know about before getting started, it's just a bunch of somewhat interesting stuff to read.

Containment Breach's environments are also randomly generated (at least room positions are, iirc) which gives it a bit more replay value. Amnesia is great the first several times you play it, but after that it's less scary because you know where to go and more or less where the monsters are.

Two Halloweens ago I was at my girlfriend of the times house and she had one of those hang-able decorations so I put it over myself (since it had a dress/toga thing going on and held it's skull above my head and sat outside her house for the better part of two hours just scaring people. She lived on the rich side of town so everyone and their brothers would drive just for the candy that you supposedly obviously had being rich.

I've never seen so many grown men scream after saying something like "Is this one of those fucking cheap scare things?" looking at me, as I peered at him from under the thin velvet "Shit ain't scary on Halloween." Then I'd jump a bit at him and they'd step back and trip over the hedges while everyone else getting candy would laugh at them. That same night I managed to scare the shoes off some kid and scare a small child into my girlfriends house. After that my girlfriends mother said I should stop since the kid started crying.
