going from one extreme to the next

Okay. Does that also mean people as a whole are disturbing? What ethnicity does he belong to? Does that mean that ethnicity as a whole is creepy? He's just one guy. And while there are plenty of furries like that, they don't define what "furry" means.

Really? Ethnicity? Nationality? I know more than just "this one guy" who affiliate themselves as 'furry', however he is the only one I can truly tolerate as a 'friend'.

Fandom and/or freedom of sexuality is one thing. I don't find a people as a whole "disturbing" because of one or two bad apples, it's when time after time, instance after instance, I come across them in real life as well as watch documentaries and countless defensive articles where I start to question things. You cannot hate something without knowing everything about it. I have give many chances to furries only to be disappointed time and time again.

I don't expect anything out of anyone. I just let them present their case.

Let's put it this way, I know some fucked up gay dudes who I would never associate with. Does that make me hate gay people? fuck no. I know lots of really cool gay dudes. I'm friends with them and they don't creep me the fuck out.

However, every single time I suspect a furry due to their behavior without mentioning their sexual preference/freedom/furdom/whatever you want to call it, I end up being correct in my assumption. Not only that, but they push it further over the edge proving my assumptions through creepy behavior/mannerisms that I find uncomfortable.

Defining what something means doesn't really come into play. It's the way the entire culture comes off after getting to know them that makes my skin crawl.

No offense. and I assume none is taken, but you have to see it from both perspectives first before playing the "hate" card.
