Chi's shake for multiple reasons such as excited or fear. Also, due to their small size it is their bodies way of trying to produce heat.

Source: owned a few, did a little googling in my day. If my facts aren't 100% accurate, well, okay. I am comfortable with that.

Producing heat makes much more sense than what I thought, which was that the dogs are so small and have been bred in a manner that their skeleton can't properly support their weight and a chihuahua has to constantly balance its center of mass, a la a bicycle in motion remaining upright. Yeah, I know. I'm a retard. I'm sorry. But thanks for your explanation.

Body size is irrelevant, otherwise mice would be cool to the touch. Mice run about the same temperature as humans, while dogs run a bit hotter. It's all in the thermoregulation genes and not the body size ones.

My girlfriend and I rescued a purebreed Newf a year and a half ago. She just turned two. She is one of the best dogs I've ever met. Very gentle breed who love to play. I have seen this where my newf will want to meet a small dog and the small dog will shake like they are being held at gunpoint. Pretty funny to me!

I recall reading several prison AMA's and general storytime/Q&A threads in which ex-cons who served long sentences talked about their experiences.

The general consensus from the perspectives I saw seems to be that the problem of gay prison rape is either entirely inaccurate, not a problem where they were, or was very well hidden from them.

They almost all said gay sex was only among gay inmates, there were enough consenting men that rape wouldn't need to be of a straight man, and that while violence and intimidation were forms of dominant behavior, sexual assault was not. Further, a few said sex offenders of any kind were not very well liked in prison.

Just repeating what I've read, I'd love to hear anyone else's confirmations/denials of this.

I may have been one of the post that you are talking about."Sexual assault is not anywhere near as rampant as portrayed on TV. The sexual activity that does go on is for the most part consensual and it is generally a thing amongst those that serving lenghty/life sentences. However inmates convicted of (adult on adult) rape/sexual assault are a target for getting beat up and extortation. Child crimes are another story, and it doesn't have to be the rape of a child. I have seen men stabbed because they were drunk driving and killed a child." I did 4 years.

I've never been to prison unlike my dad and several of my uncles. I have, however, been to jail multiple times. I think I would probably be dead if I had gone to prison, I'm not real good at keeping my mouth shut.

I've been to prison and it's nothing like that. They start off by rationing your food, cutting off all communications,and I mean all communication. This includes no computers no iPad no cell phones. It's back to pencil and paper, strictly. They put you in these little cabins,far off in the woods, with strangers who all have poor, personal hygiene. From early morning to late at night your day consists of a regiment of Arts and crafts and a ton of physical activities designed to break your spirit and weaken your will.

The black dogs did a great job greeting appropriately, but the chihuahua's nervousness is shown by the tail wag, tense body and ears back. The corners of its mouth are also pulled back, signalling discomfort. My thoughts are he wants to play, but having two large dogs greet him simultaneously was a little scary.
