Yeah, it's like that if you don't have anyone in your circles that posts. We expect Facebook, where we all have tons of people connected to us that use the site. Add more interesting people to circles, and Google+ is more useful. Or don't. I don't really care, I guess.

Agreed. Completely. As much as I hate comparing it to Facebook (because it's not), how would Facebook look if you only had 5 people?

Also, stop treating G+ like Facebook. Circle strangers who post cool shit. It doesn't matter if you know them even remotely irl or not. There's TONS of people posting LOADS of content. Actually, G+ is more like Reddit than it is like Facebook.

If you follow Felicia Day on G+, some of the people that it suggests after her are fascinating.

The location thing is pretty cool too. I've met several SF Giants fans just from checking in at the ballpark.

Actually I think there are a lot of redditors that use G+. I would send my sister links from here, links that were pretty recently posted. She'd tell me she already saw them. I started to suspect she was a redditor, but didn't want to reveal myself, and I asked where she kept finding these links. She said from G+.

I have a g+ and my wall is always going. The key is to post publicly and have lots and lots of people in your circles. It is not facebook. I circle scientists and photographers and people who engage, circling is to meet new people, not ones you already know. It's an awesome place to get real engagement on real topics without listening to who is breaking up with who and how many nascar events someone is going to this year. Actually it probably has the best vidchat functionality out of everything I've tried. My GF and I have switched from Skype to hangouts. No more dropped calls. Also it does a much better job of filtering out the reverb when one of us aren't using headphones.

I log on to google+ every day, read what was posted, and then leave. It's kinda the point I guess. I don't go to facebook anymore because I realized that it has done absolutely nothing for me over the past couple years. At least on google+ I'm following some really interesting people who love to talk at length about various topics.

I honestly hope facebook will continue to be the vapid black hole that it has become, and retain the masses of suck. I also think that it is great when people poke fun at G+. Its like the new kid. If no one liked it, they would ignore it completely.

I'm not really big on the whole bacon bandwagon that has been going on the last few years, but seeing some of the creative shit people do with bacon is cool. This includes the guy who simply cooked up 5 or so pounds of bacon and ate it. Literally... LITERALLY a pile of bacon.
