I agree, they are adorable. But, a hippo has to use their strength and power to kill a human, unlike the platypus, where it just needs to stab you and administer its venom.

First time seeing baby platypuses in over 50 years. Didn't know what I was missing. Thanks OP. So, how did you come to get these? Did something happen to their mother? Are you feeding them? What do they eat? Are you going to release them in the wild once they're grown? Are they as soft and velvety as they look? Do mother platypuses raise their young? Are they mammals?

I saw a docu on these. They don't have nipples so they ooze milk from roughly their whole belly. Frankly, it's terrifying, as well as nauseating.
