    This photo might have been taken at a ski resort mountain house during the spring. You can see two snow cats parked in the background, and it's not unusual for friction and sunlight to melt off the snow near mountain houses (often creating small lakes or swamploads of mud). In Colorado, we get this a lot, and if a resort has enough snow, they'll stay open into March or April; people will ski in 60 degree weather. You get shirtless skiers, bikini skiers, etc.

    This dude just looks like another hippie (albeit a hairy one) that rolled into Breckenridge 40 years ago and never left.

    Here in Arizona it is pretty common for areas of our one or two mountains to not have snow but still be able to snowboard and ski just a little ways a way.

      You know, while I appreciate the sentiment here, you have to figure doing this is an exercise in futility. I mean, no one is going to stop reposting stuff just because it's been pointed out as a repost. Reposts are a mostly annoying part of life, like mosquitos.

      I don't have my mind made up about this. On one hand I absolutely agree with you. But on the other hand, the fact of his shirtlessness leads me to believe he doesn't care what people think of his physical appearance. Not that that makes it okay to maliciously poke fun, but he is at least curious looking.

      FWIW I say this as a 6'4" kid with a red beard, red curly hair to my shoulders, and visible tattoos. The reactions to my appearance range from laughter (literally) to compliments. So I guess what I'm saying is that some of us stick out naturally and it's okay to poke a little light-hearted fun.

      But largely I agree with the broader implications of your criticism.

      Ah! I was there that day! No picture evidence so feel free to not believe, but this was at Alpine Meadows on the 3rd of July when they re-opened for the weekend! He was pretty gnarly at skiing from what I saw from the chairlift.
      I also ran into a tree with my snowboard that day, Sonny style. Shit sucked.
