A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports).

"Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

Dodging a blue shell is still in my top ten lifetime achievements. I didn't plan it, I just panicked and pressed buttons but somehow managed to mushroom out of there at exactly the right moment.

When it's about too hit you the shell stays over you and does a little "O" turn. It does it in less than a second but that's the window you have to use the mushroom and dodge the shell.

I hate it when people use this because usually it won't really help them. They are usually not second or third or even fourth they are at seventh or eight place and have nearly no chance of getting top 3 but they use this just to screw with the person in first.
