aside from the photoshopping, i can tell its not shaggy because the stance is way too uptight to be. i think the photoshopping is fantastic though. i can't photoshop that well at all.

I was puzzled at first, since I've owned several Great Danes -- white dogs with black splotches are called Harlequins. I have never seen a Great Dane in this shade of brown, and certainly not one 1) with spots/splotches or 2) holding a show stance ... then it hit me ... shopped, of course! Damn good job with the shop!

Yeah, the brown was definitely unusual. Maybe that's why it was originally chosen for Scooby- because it is so unique, it stands out.

I guess they 'crop' tails, too.

On the one hand, we do help ourselves to their gonads. But that seems like it's on another level than volunteering your dog for body modification surgery!

If this sort of thing is legal, I guess it's a small wonder I haven't seen more dogs with gauges, PAs or scarification.

That's because they cut them when the dog was a baby. If you cut a dog's ears a certain way they will be like that.
