This happened to my daughter when she was about 2 years old. The impact of the dog threw her up in the air and flipped her and she landed flat on her back. Scared us to death it looked so horrible and scary. We took her to the hospital and by the time the doctor got in there she was running around and laughing and the doctor looked at us like we were nuts. Still scary though.

This happened to my little sister when we were little picking out a dog from the pound. They let us take her (the dog) out in the yard and watch her run around and interact with us. She was running laps around the pen and was coming straight towards us- everyone stepped back ...except my sister who was still wobbly on her little feet.

That dog ended up being one of my best friends growing up =)
