So that's too small to read

[–]noizes 19 points20 points ago

ctrl+0 (thats a zero) to get back to normal.

[–]mastermike14[!] 16 points17 points ago

if you are using Reddit Enhancement Suite you can actually just drag the image to make it bigger

[–]GM_Monkey 3 points4 points ago

That really depends on what browser you're using.

[–]nikomo 2 points3 points ago

Works on Chrome and Firefox, and mobile users are probably smart enough to figure out the best method for their browser, so that pretty much covers every use case.

[–]MuletTheGreat 0 points1 point ago

I love how zooming in one one Chrome window usually zooms in on another chrome window.

[–]StatesWrongFacts 11 points12 points ago

Google Chrome was the first web browser commonly used by the Aztecs, mainly for its 'sacrifice' plugin.

[–]SorasNobody 5 points6 points ago

It zooms on all pages from the same website. So if you zoom on one imgur picture it'll zoom on another. It won't actually zoom on a whole other website.

[–]MuletTheGreat 0 points1 point ago

Is this a bug, or did they design a bug?

Informative though. Thanks.

[–]GM_Monkey -5 points-4 points ago

Chrome and Firefox, which represent only 50% of browser usage. But every pretty much every use case. (well apart from mine, 'cause I'm on Safari).

[–]stylzs05 3 points4 points ago

I'd be willing to bet it's most use cases for the average Reddit user.

[–]jerenept 1 point2 points ago

Ctrl-scroll wheel zooms on osx

[–]TheDroopy -1 points0 points ago

If you're on a Mac, this will actually zoom the entire display. True story.

[–]GM_Monkey 1 point2 points ago

Ctrl+Mouse wheel won't but weird finger split apart draggy thingy will.

[–]TheDroopy 0 points1 point ago

You might be talking about newer trackpad models. I'm on a four-year-old MacBook and I can tell you that Ctrl+scroll does in fact work.

Mind Blown

[–]Rfk55 15 points16 points ago

It's a meeting of gay witches for abortion. You wouldn't be interested.

[–]Xoder 19 points20 points ago

Try Reddit Enhancement Suite, it makes it easy to scale the images!

[–]moogle516 1 point2 points ago

I can easily do the same thing with the slider in Opera.

[–]NimX3 3 points4 points ago

Or Ctrl+scroll

[–]CornFedHonky 2 points3 points ago

But don't worry, he made it an animated gif just so that you can see homer's mouth moving! Whew.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points ago

I'm reading it on the new iPad's "retina" display. And that thing is tiny o.O I literally had to make a pinch and zoom gesture to make it bigger.

[–]TooLazyToRepost 83 points84 points ago

This does not need to be a .gif

[–]mambypambyland 25 points26 points ago

So it should be one of those unmovable gifs instead?

[–]tmarkville 11 points12 points ago

It should be a gif with sound.

[–]wolfvision 4 points5 points ago

and smell

[–]ridik_ulass 0 points1 point ago

and flavour

[–]Brad_1 2 points3 points ago

But you can see Homer's train of thought. :D

[–]spencer92 1 point2 points ago

Exactly. You can tell he's thinking of a lie right on the spot, but not very quick witted.

[–]CarmeTaika 36 points37 points ago

It's a meeting of gay witches for abortion. You wouldn't be interested.

[–]Oxbridge 11 points12 points ago

[–]DoctorWedgeworth 1 point2 points ago

Love how at the end God says "Deus Ex Machina"

[–]60secs 1 point2 points ago

My parents told me to never visit strange sites with an .ru domain name.

[–]mcilrain 0 points1 point ago

What about .xxx domains?

[–]Theinternationalist 0 points1 point ago

Oh they're fine. No worries about the Russian Business Network there.

[–]noperdd 10 points11 points ago

Gay Witch Abortion? The underground minneapolis band? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBQ0Oy_Q8m4

[–]glitterandgore 2 points3 points ago

I came here to say this! Hello fellow Minneapolin!!

[–]Treeham 1 point2 points ago

haha I saw one of their albums at the Electric Fetus on record store day. I love Minneapolis.

[–]whyAtheistsLikeThis 22 points23 points ago

  • Christianity is against homosexuality, witchcraft, and abortion

[–]novaya3 8 points9 points ago

It's irking me to no end that the gif only gets up to 'gay witches' and then repeats

[–]KoneBone 1 point2 points ago

flanders reaction after this scene is priceless

[–]GlitterConjurer 0 points1 point ago

I'm a little disappointed that it got left out

[–]neonshaun 1 point2 points ago

why does this even need to be a gif?

[–]Peter89 1 point2 points ago

small enough?

[–]WhichSimpsonsEpisode 1 point2 points ago

Season 16 Episode 19: "Thank God, It's Doomsday"

[–]elmarko44 1 point2 points ago

your GIF is too small

[–]MC-Master-Bedroom 2 points3 points ago

TT;CR

too tiny; couldn't read

[–]userkm 3 points4 points ago

Let me just get out my binoculars...

[–]carlosboozer 2 points3 points ago

remember when this show was like subtle and witty about shit like this

[–]ChubbyChecker 1 point2 points ago

Not really...it's been so long

[–]SlasherPunk 2 points3 points ago

What the diddly squat...

[–]spoonman12 0 points1 point ago

Just aborting some gay witch babies. No big deal.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Why is this an animated gif and not an easy to read .jpg or .png?

[–]willwonder 0 points1 point ago

I quote this all the time in real life, haha.

[–]Negro_Napoleon 0 points1 point ago

To which Flanders wanted to attend...right?

[–]idma 0 points1 point ago

i don't think many people would be interested in that meeting. Sounds boring

[–]RetardedTurtle 0 points1 point ago

And everyone in the background is just "bad pokerface"

[–]plainOldFool 0 points1 point ago

Was there not an early episode of The Simpsons where Homer decides not to go to church and ends up being trapped in a house fire only to be rescued by a number of Springfield residents that happen to span a multitude of faiths?

[–]Thenewfoundlanders 0 points1 point ago

Did this really need to be a gif?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Some pixels appeared on my screen

[–]littlebombadil 0 points1 point ago*

Doctor Who already DID IT, relatively speaking. (Series 6 spoilers)

[–]jderm1 0 points1 point ago

Now where's that guy who tells you what episodes Simpsons pictures / quotes are from?

[–]mrgordita 0 points1 point ago

SEX.

[–]RTLemur89 2 points3 points ago

nice, a possible reference to the band, which is from Minneapolis I think (not my hometown but my current town, of the past 3.5 years. I am from elsewhere in MN..).

[–]Shikadi314 1 point2 points ago

"The band"?

Which band?

[–]PharaohJoe 1 point2 points ago

[–]RTLemur89 1 point2 points ago

I was referring to this band, but then somebody pointed out that this Simpsons episode pre-dates the formation of that band... And sorry, I realize that was a vague reference..

[–]MurrayJaySiskind 1 point2 points ago

Probably not, as they formed in 2007 and this is from Simpsons season 16 (2004-2005).

[–]RTLemur89 0 points1 point ago

Ah, nevermind then.

[–]Manial 0 points1 point ago

It's a meeting of gay witches for abortion. You wouldn't be interested.

The context is that Homer is holding a pre-rapture party (because he believes the end of the world is soon), and wants to exclude Ned, so he makes up this excuse.

It's not exactly recent though, this ep was in Season 16 (and it was pretty crap, too).

[–]hoodedthis 5 points6 points ago

(and it was pretty crap, too)

I beg to differ. It was hilarious. Especially in the part where they watch the satirical movie "left below".

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

LEFT BELOW?!?!? WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT BEFORE?!

[–]Big_Time_Boner_Mega_ -1 points0 points ago

You're obviously some teenager who wasn't even alive when the first couple seasons of the Simpsons aired. Those were actually good and Groening was actually trying. It's been on fucking cruise control for at least 15 seasons now... You wouldn't know that though, sense at the time it went on cruise control you were just learning how to walk.

[–]DoDHest -1 points0 points ago

Should you not rather say. The Simpsons, always on the hot topic. If you count the six months to a year that has passed since it actually was a hot topic!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago*

I always felt the Simpsons likes to wait for all the buzz to die down on a subject so that they can cherry pick all the "simpsons family safe 'edgey' entertainment jokes" for the show. That way they can just go with whatever they already know the majority agree's with and never end up in controversy while the majority still gives the show enough ratings to continue as their egos have been properly stroked.

[–]ePaF -1 points0 points ago

Hot topics are not necessarily points.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

You appear to be the only one equating them as such...are you replying to the wrong post by accident?

[–]ePaF 0 points1 point ago

Apparently.

[–]DoDHest -4 points-3 points ago

And if that is the case then they are no longer on the hot topic since the topic in question has cooled down. Which was my original point.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points ago

Yes, I was adding to your point with my perspective and obviously agree with you. Which is what you do on a forum.

No need to be on the defensive, Mr. Paranoia.

[–]Clayburn 0 points1 point ago

What is the topic?

[–]DoDHest 0 points1 point ago

Whatever the topic of the show is about.

[–]Clayburn -1 points0 points ago

No, this. Gay abortion witches is a hot topic?

[–]bakedrice 0 points1 point ago

this episode went on air like 8 years ago

[–]mustardjones -2 points-1 points ago

[–]cccamille -5 points-4 points ago
