Oh, man. I was digging through a box of old stuff that I brought home from my parent's house and found a journal that my little brother did as a school assignment. There was some really funny stuff in there, but the best was when he wrote some entries about how Shaq Diesel was his favorite music.

Just thinking about a white sixth/seventh grader in rural Kansas who has never even met a black person and who's favorite musician is Shaq makes me giggle. I can't even imagine the I've-made-a-terrible-mistake look on his face when he is 16 and Kazaam comes out.

Okay okay okay, let me put it this way. DDR was my gateway to better music. I have friends that produced and introduced me to trance music and industrial music and I really got into that, but when I listen back on DDR music it's so... formulated and all sounds the same.

That and it brings back memories of having my ass handed to me by some 12 year old asian kid at the arcade.

If you are mixing MCR with Green Day, you were either in middle school for ten years, or you are talking about American Idiot era, when no one could really say Green Day sucked.
