A while back, when I was playing Black Ops, some 12-year-old was being belligerent. I got tired of listening to him, and I said, "You should stop being mean to everyone."

He responded with the kind of tirade you would expect, faggot, bitch, nigger, vague threats, etc.

I let him go on for a few minutes, and I said, "Dude. Dude. Dude-" until he stopped and said, "WHAT!?"

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry man. I'm sorry."

"What?"

"I'm sorry. Please don't be mad anymore. I'm sorry."

"...what!?"

"I'm sorry."

I apologized for duration of the match and into the lobby of the next.

By the end of it he was completely frustrated. "Ohmygod, stop saying you're sorry, I'll stop yelling at everyone, just quit saying sorry! Look, just stop saying you're sorry, everything is fine. Just please stop."

"Alright man, I'm sorry."

Getting him to ragequit because I was apologizing to him was immensely satisfying.

Really, though, it's not very hard for a semi-skilled investigator to find out who you are.

A lot of poster use the same username for multiple sites, and post small bits of personal information that can be pieced together. Sometimes, when I'm bored, I'll find a random redditor and see if I can find out their actual name and city. I've been able to do it quite often, if I spend an hour or two going through a lot of inane bullshit and dead ends.
