As an asian I can verify this.

There's a lot of asian boys and girls (hongers usually) that like to dress very androgynously. I cannot identify if they are male or female most of the time. Both genders of those who like to dress in this style have the same clothes, hair, everything. It's impossible to identify short of verifying their genitals.
