A better response is "would you?" and then cite them passages from the bible that clearly state that he was a prick (tear apart families etc) or that he liked to pander (one part saying he wont abolish old testament another saying he will) or any number of other biblical things that talk about him they probably had no idea about

Good and moral people care about their species as a whole and would like to see them live healthy happy lives. They don't want to go up in the rapture and spend afternoons picnicking while watching people who don't believe in bullshit burn in hell.

I try to be nice, or at least I'm trying to get better at it, but this whole rapture thing is just sick.
I don't want the world to end. I hope the Rapture doesn't come soon, but I know it will eventually. I am an atheist, I just believe in the Rapture.

I know it is not the normal belief in r/atheism, but it is what I believe. I am an atheist, but I do believe people who try to follow the rules in the bible will be Raptured and have eternal life in Heaven. I just don't think it is God doing it, I think it is a natural, scientific process.

I don't believe the rest of the claims because I am an atheist. All that means is I don't believe in God(s). I believe in the Rapture and heaven, I just don't think they were created by an intelligent force of any kind. I understand it may come off as trolling, but it isn't. I am used to people thinking I am bullshitting and them getting mad at me whenever I talk about my beliefs with them.
OK, that was an actual face palm.
People say it a lot, but you got a real bonified face palm there.

The point is: I would assume that you don't believe in a god because of the lack of evidence there is to justify a belief in one, right? Now, how in the world does that same principle not apply to your belief in heaven, or the Rapture? Why don't you believe in invisible pink unicorns or that a small teapot is orbitting the sun? Why the picking and choosing? There is a complete lack of evidence for everything I have listed above, yet you believe in a few of them and not them all.
There is an inherent inconsistency in the way you decide to believe things. There is no evidence for the Rapture, or heaven. There is no reason you should believe that these things are a "natural, scientific process" any more than you should believe that god exists.
Yeah, I get arguments like that a lot. The only thing I can say is I never once claimed to be a skeptic. I don't need proof to believe something is true all the time. I happen to not believe in any gods or magic unicorns or orbiting tea pots. I do believe I will go up in the Rapture and live in a physical place called heaven at some point.
If you deny that you need proof to believe in something, then we are done here. Good day.
