But that's the entire thing about wrestling. It's fake characters fake wrestling (although they do get fucked up on occasion. I don't like it, but it's almost like NASCAR in a sense waiting for someone to get their teeth knocked out), but it's not just about the action (mostly). It's also about the over-the-top roles they play. It's not Bob Smith wrestling, it's Triple V and the dreaded Cock Snapper.

In WWE, characters change over time going from good guys to bad guys, but that's a huge thing in the sport. Creating long-lasting rivalries between the guys (he stole my wife!) gets some people into the action. I mean, when the audience just absolutely fucking hates you because of a role you play, then that's pretty successful. Whether it's everyone chanting "you suck" or cheering on your dastardly deeds, it's getting the audience involved.

Southpark did a whole ridiculous and hilarious thing about it where the kids playing wrestlers had back stories about abortion and other ridiculous shit, and it ultimately came down to it being a play with a bit of wrestling on the side to solve the drama. Just a 'hyperbolistic' view of what goes on now.

That being said, if this guy is the same out of costume, then absolutely he would be an asshole. But while your in costume, you're your character. Otherwise, the Undertaker really sleeps in a coffin and is... an undertaker. So, it may have been a dick move, but his character is probably just a dick. Honestly, I find it pretty fucked up, but hilarious at the same time. Going after the kids may be a bit far, but everyone knows it's all in good fun (what wrestling fans consider fun?).
